So, after almost 24 hours of work, I have finished making my first ever interactive screen buddy, a shimeji!

What is this? By using it, you will activate a little Suki to run around on your page, climbing web browsers, walls, jumping around, even inflating and deflating in various ways :3 This was a real treat to draw and work on, but it takes a lot of description, and may not work appropriately on every computer, so I'm gonna try and do what I can to help here but I don't know much more than you guys, so bear with me!
I REITERATE, IF YOU'RE HAVING PROBLEMS, GOOGLING THE ISSUE IS LIKELY GOING TO BE A BETTER OPTION THAN ASKING ME CAUSE I DON'T HAVE MUCH OTHER OPTION THAN THE SAME THING.
For starts, lets get you started up!
1. Follow this link to download the Sukishimeji.rar and extract it using Stuffit expander or 7zip (both easily searchable, just use safe sites)
2. Next, in the folder Sukishimeji, find the shimeji-ee JAR executable file. This is the one you run.
3. In the next window, make sure Suki's the one selected, and click on 'run selected'
4. Enjoy playing with Suki! She has a buncha interactions that you can select and will bounce around the screen otherwise!

Of course, nothing is ever that easy, so here are some issues we encountered while experimenting with this:
*Make sure that your Java is fully updated with the newest build. If you're running into issues with 64 bit java, My friend Throwaway has come up with a means of running it through the command prompt:
-"First, navigate to the folder with the Shimeji-ee app inside it. It is currently called Shimeji Calm (Single), but I expect it to be renamed something more Suki-like by the time this is read. Right click the navigation bar, and select "Copy address as text." Now, start Command Prompt, found in the Accessories folder under Applications in the Start menu on Windows 7. Type cd into the Command Prompt, followed by a space, then right click and paste the address you copied earlier. Press enter. Congratulations! You have navigated to the folder via the Command Prompt tool.
Assuming you have Java 7 32 bit installed, copy and paste the following into the Command Prompt tool and press enter.
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java" -classpath Shimeji-ee.jar -Xmx512m com.group_finity.mascot.Main -Djava.util.logging.config.file=./conf/logging.properties
Don't go changing anything here. Could be disastrous. Assuming it all works, the Shimeji-ee jar file should start running under 32 bit Java. From here, just read the Shimeji-ee instructions. Have fun!"
*If you find that you have a second Rar file in the extracted one, this is likely due to the fact that your unziping program is out of date. Simply uninstall the extracting program and reinstall it before extracting again.
*If you're trying to run it on mac, there are ways, but once again, this is something you will have to google as I myself amm not privvy to knowing how they work.

Hope that i can run your program without this trick in the future and im looking forward for more, cause this is the fisrt time i ever used a desktop buddy. She just looked to cute to not use this program^^

sorry for the many posts, but i´m not sure if i´m missing somthing, is suki doing things on her own or must i do smthing, cause after she fell down from an window she just mows around at th bottom of my desktop ot just sits there + i´m not sure if she can do everything with the way how i did get it to work

All you should need to do is follow my instructions on here, the video you linked is just for using new texture packs with the japanese one. The japanese program will not work with my shimeji as mine has been highly modified, both in images and action files.
You just need to download the one I provided, extract it, and run the Shimeji-ee JAR executable file.
Make sure you have the most updated 32-bit Java on your computer.
