probably because you use contrasting colours - but I love 'em D=
Maybe if they weren't as vivid for your class... a bright blue, but a dark brownish orange...
Bright yellow, but a dim violet...

actually it wasn't my color choices that did me in, but the level of craftsmanship did me in. we were useing acrylic paint. also the fact that it was a foundation class meant that you gotta play ball (which can be tough for people who have had training already / have taught themselves), because you gotta learn the "right way" to do things, which leads to a rant that i am not gonna start on this late at night. __ __
