Oh god XD. lmao I'm like the bearer of destruction! This is the first story where I had a road map of the area open while writing it. I really wanted to get in close and experience what these roads and locations were like when I wrote this to try and break my severe writer's block since Christmas.
I don't think there are nearly enough furry chasers in the world. Your story has made me hungry for chasing season. Despite the several direct inspirations from the movie Twister, I enjoyed your story. I do especially like how you incorporate the concern chasers have. People tend to think of us all as yahoos who are throttling between life and death. Most of us just want to witness the beauty and power nature is capable of, and we worry about our fellow men that are in the cross hairs and try to help out when lives have been turned upside down.
Thank you very much :)
I really tried to make this story much better than last year's three VORTEX stories I've written. This story I really tried to limit a area of Ohio where I thought would be interesting to have a fictional tornado outbreak. When I was writing it I had this idea of a minor subplot of a thrill seeker, just a young kid a few years younger than the protagonist be the reckless thrill seeker looking for his fame on YouTube, only to be killed when the tornado shifts its track (like what happened in Oklahoma, but with professional chasers).
