He was born premature and weak. Didn’t cry when he came out and was rushed to the ER. He spent a month in the hospital teetering back and forth on the thin line between life and death, but he pulled through. When he finally came home his parents treated him like he was made of glass. Caring for him as gentle as they could and making sure he received all the vitamins he needed for proper growth. It wasn’t until he was roughly one and a half before they started treating him like a normal child and letting go of their fear of harming him

Life was fine for the little panda. His parents no longer spoiled him due to fear and he even started Pre-K. He was a happy and care free child. Age five is when problems started up again. An epidemic swept the country. A virus that attacked the tissue of it host causing lesions, black oozing goop, and even the loss of limbs. Only children seemed to be the ones effected by this virus, and sadly Luecius was one of them. It started as a bad fever, but soon the lesions appeared on his arms. Doctors could do nothing but ease his pain.

It was by the time Lue was six that they found a solution of sorts. An wandering enchantress knew a way to make the virus lay dormant within a child. Lue was rushed to her and the enchantment was placed. It saved his life, but by that time he’d already lost his entire left arm and right hand to the disease. This the enchantress could solve as well. With this new enchantment the limbs were replaced, and where they reconnected with is body were a cross and cut-out lines. It was to remind him that even frozen the disease was still in him. Occasionally Lue’s appendages will detach at the cut out lines and fall from him, but they simply slip back into place. At first he was frighten, but as the years passed by it just became a minor annoyance.
