Since the talk with his father Simba had been trying his best to be able to lose all of his extra weight. He had been doing sit-ups, push-ups, running and a lot other things to try and get himself in shape. But still no progress seems to be made.
While Simba had been doing everything physically right with his body the same couldn’t be said about his diet. His uncle Scar would still be there to offer Simba any slices or pieces of preys that he himself wouldn’t need, and even thought Simba told him about the diet he needed to keep, his uncle always would manage to make up an excuse or a reason to why Simba could eat it without any consequences. All as a part of his evil plan to keep Simba at the same overweight size.
But that didn’t mean that all the training was useless. It was actually helping Simba’s body to become stronger, even though he himself didn’t see it. All that hard work was making the muscles inside of him grow. It wasn’t by much but after a few weeks of his training Simba was able to run a little faster and fight better then what he had been able to do when he started. Still neither Simba nor his parents notice it since all they could see was the huge chunks of fat that was still hanging from him. With Simba never telling his parents about his uncle ruining his diet they all decided to end it, accepting that Simba possibly would never lose his weight.
Things went back to the ordinary with Simba growing slowly at a steady pace. (And his weight getting bigger at a faster pace.) With no more training of his body he also started to lose those improved muscle that he had managed to get, and even if Simba couldn’t see the changes himself he could still remember how much easier it had felt carrying his extra pounds during his training period.
He once again went to Scar to get both food and comfort, ever since getting fat he felt that his uncle was the only one who seemed to accept Simba having this extra weight, and that he was someone who he could talk to about it. (Of course it was all made up by Scar to gain the cubs trust since he found him to become more and more of a disgusting slob for each visiting.)
Today when Simba came to Scar he found that he had spared 2 whole zebra legs for him. “Is those two for me?” Simba asked happy. “Of course they are, I’ve saved them just for you.” Scar said, trying to fake a smile. Simba immediately started to dig into the two large pieces of meat and feast himself. Looking at the small cub pig himself out Scar couldn’t resist to brining up his failed training. “So, I heard you won’t do your training anymore?” He asked. “Yes, It’s true, Wouldn’t work.” Simba said quickly in between bites. “Do you have any thought about what will happen once you become king?” Scar asked with a bit of bitterness in his voice once he mentioned the last word. (Even thought Simba in his state would make a terrible king it still hurt him saying it out loud.) “I haven’t thought about so much,” Simba said finishing of the first leg and going for the other one. “But if I continue to grow I don’t think I can’t even walk to some places of my kingdom.” “Like the Elephant Graveyard for example…” Scar said before pretending to stop himself.
Looking back at Simba he could see that the little cub had stopped with the eating and was just looking at him. “I think I have said too much.” Scar said and pretended to retreat into the back of his cave. “Wait! Uncle Scar!” Simba shouted as he tried running after him. After only getting a couple of feet away Scar looked back and saw that the small cub had managed to catch up to him, and how he was sweating and breathing heavily. “W-What is an E-Elephant G-Graveyard?” Simba asked while catching his breath. “Well, since you have made such an effort catching up to me I will tell you.” Scar said with a fake enthusiasm. “The Elephant Graveyard is said to be the place where you can find skeletons from all the elephants that has ever walked this ground.” “Wow!” Simba said excited. “It’s said to lay at just where the sun don’t catch’s its light but it’s not a place for little cubs to play around by themselves, so I guess I can trust you in keeping a secret?” Scar asked Simba who answered, “You’re secret is safe with me.”
“And you say that this place is really awesome?” Nala asked as she and Simba was getting bathed by their mothers, and while Nala wouldn’t take any longer to clean than any other cub, Simba’s extra size meant for him a five minutes longer bath then anyone else. “It’s more then awesome, it’s probably the great thing ever!” Simba answered excited. “Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go.” Nala said, and they where both on their way when they heard Simba’s mother say, “And what is this really awesome place you are talking about?” While Nala didn’t know what to say Simba was quick to answer “The Waterhole”. “The Waterhole?” Nala asked confused before seeing Simba giving her a stare telling her to be silence. “Yes mom. We where just going to take a trip around the waterhole, nothing special.” Simba said convincingly. After a moment of silence Sarabi said “Okay, you can go…” Simba gave a silent “Yes” to himself, and he and Nala was once again on their way to run of when Sarabi added, “but only as long as Zazu is with you.” And in an instant both of the cub’s happiness died down.
Being a loyal major-domo to the family Zazu had it as his job to respect and follow the orders of everyone from family, but even he had a bit of a hard time wanting to treat young Simba with the respect of a prince with his condition. Still he was now looking after both him and his female friend as it was an order from the Simba’s mom, who also was the queen. From high up in the sky he was flying keeping a good eye for any dangers that could appear in front of them, and also looking back making sure the two cubs still was with him.
On ground level both Simba and Nala was keeping a slow pace as they walked towards the waterhole, and with them both next to each other it was really obvious to see the signs on Simba’s lifestyle. While Nala’s body was just as slim and muscular like on any other lion cub, Simba’s body was the exact opposite. As the both where walking Nala could notice how every step Simba took made his whole body jiggle. How it made his wide and thick legs rub into each other, and how it made his big fat belly slosh and swing from side to side. Looking from behind you would also be able to see that Simba’s rear was about as wide as two normal sized cubs’.
Looking up at Zazu and then at Simba Nala whispered, “So where are we really going?” “To an elephant graveyard.” Simba whispered back. “WOW!” Nala said loudly. Simba tried to hush her but it was to late, the next thing he knows Zazu was back on the ground in front of them. “And what where you two talking about?” he asked. “Nothing.” Simba said quickly. “You weren’t planning on going to some place where you’re not supposed to be?” Zazu asked, but before Simba had a chance to answer Nala interrupted. “Why wouldn’t he have the right to go where ever he wants? He is a part of the royal family!” “Correction, he’s an heir to the throne. Meaning his parents word is law and everyone (including him) will have to follow it.” Zazu answered, thinking he had just won the discussion. “But one day he will become the ruler of the kingdom.” Nala said back. “Yeah, and then you have to do what I tell you.” Simba said triumphed. “You’re not a king yet, and with a body like that I think you will become a very lazy king.” Zazu said back. “Not in the way I see it.” Simba said, feeling a song coming up.
(For this next part imagine the “I just can’t wait to be king” part from the movie, but with a much fatter Simba and these changed lyrics.)
(Simba) I'm gonna be a mighty king, I’m gonna rule them all like that!
(Zazu) I've never seen a king or beast
being quite so very fat.
(Simba) I'm gonna have a big banquet
Like no king had before
I will chow it down and gobble up
and end it with my roar! (Makes a small burp instead)
(Zazu) What an unbelievable disgusting little thing.
(Simba) Oh, I just can't weight to be king!
(Simba) No one saying lose weight (Zazu) now when I said that
(Simba) No one saying work out (Zazu) What I meant was
(Simba) No one saying bad shape (Zazu) what you don't realize
(Simba) No one saying stop eat (Zazu) But stop eat!
(Simba) Free to eat around all day
(Zazu) Well, that's definitely out
(Simba) Free to do it all my way
(Zazu) I think it's time that you faced the facts heart to heart.
(Simba) Kings don't need advice from little lightweights for a start.
(Zazu) If this is where the monarchy is headed count me out!
Out of service out of Africa I wouldn't hang about
This child is becoming a bigger burden for me wing
(Simba) Oh I just can't weight to be king
Everybody look left
Everybody look right
Everywhere you look I’m
Filling up the spotlight!
(Zazu) Not yet!
(Choir) Let every creature go for broke and sing
Let's hear it in the herd and on the wing
He’s gonna be the kingdoms biggest thing
(Simba) Oh, I just can't weight to be king!
Oh, I just can't weight to be king!
Oh, I just can't weeeeeeight ... to be king!
