A story based off of the game, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Time/Darkness and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky. The story was made from a role play from two people over a Skype chat. This is a book format of that role play.
Prologue:
Clair’s Diary
From mother: I give you this book so you can write down every adventure and anything you explore. I wish you luck and I will miss you!
Day 1: My mother finally gave into letting me go on my own for once! I’m excited and ready to explore the world! A ride off the island has already been made for me. I was told that it will take a couple hours until I make it to the other island.
I’ve been awake riding this Lapras the entire time! I can’t wait to find out what’s on the island! I’m told that I will be dropped off on the main part of the island where there is a village named Treasure Town. Apparently, there’s a guild there that is completely based off of going out and exploring! Maybe I’ll look into it.
My ride and I were wiped out a couple of miles off shore, I’m lucky that a Floatzel was there to save me or I might of not even made the first day of being here. The town looks pretty amazing and I’m only looking at it from the beach! They even have a little overhang over the ocean shaped like a Sharpedo! The name of it is Sharpedo’s Bluff.
I’ve looked around the town and it seems amazing! I talked to the Guildmaster of the guild here. Strangely, the guild building is shaped like their Guildmaster… I didn’t join the guild but they have a bunch of missions in their main room that is open to the public. I took a couple and am already on my way for my first journey through the island. I was given a map of this island and it is a whole lot bigger than the one back home! Looks like I’ve got enough to explore forever!
Day 2: I made my own little camp for the night. Still on my way to the mission. Foggy forest is where I’m headed and it seems that I’ve got to save a Treecko stuck inside. I’ve been sight seeing a lot of the scenery here and it’s amazing! I had a couple of dangerous encounters, but I didn’t come to this island with no fighting potential! I made easy work of them!
Got the Treecko. He’s fine and we’re on our way back to the town. He asked me if I was a rescue team and if I had a badge to take him back. I have no idea what he means by a badge but we’re resting on the trip back. Seems that he’s upset that I couldn’t, quote on quote, “teleport him back.” Ungrateful jerk! I just saved his life and this is how I’m repaid?! Whatever, at least I’ll still get paid if I get him back safely.
Back home, I made a small amount of Poké and now on my way back out to explore the island more.
Day 15: Haven’t really been able to write much down. I’m simply just fascinated at the whole island! I’ve fought countless amount of Pokémon and still explore around. I’ve made a name since I’ve been here. I still live on making a camp to sleep at night. Not so bad. A couple of Pokémon have started following me in my journey to help. Katia the Riolu is mainly the only one that I talk to. She’s really nice! The others are kinda just here at my side because of my fighting, which is pretty cool when I think about it, really.
Day 31: It’s been a month since I’ve been here. The town seems to respect me for helping out. I’ve been doing what they call fire watch, where I guard the town at night. I stopped a couple of break ins. I’ve been told ever since I’ve been helping out that there hasn’t been as much as criminals around. I’m really glad that I came here! I still don’t have an actual home. I’m really starting to feel home sick now that I think about it really. I thought I was never going to miss that small island, but I guess I was way over my head on that.
I can’t sleep, I’m just so home sick right now… I think I might look for a trip back…
Day: 32: I’ve decided to just deal with the home sickness. The thing that’s funny is that I was completely going to get ready to get going but everyone that has been following me told me that I shouldn’t go, which made me hesitant, but I still was going to, until Katia told me that I should go if I wanted to, it’s completely my own decision. I don’t know what it was about what she said but I just stopped feeling like I needed to go home all of a sudden… She’s a great friend…
Day hundred-something...: It’s been forever since I’ve wrote anything! Finally just got my own home… well, my home shared with everyone that’s been following me. I’ve became my own Guildmaster in two months here! Not my idea, but I went with it since they needed a leader for the guild… and of course they made the building shaped like my head… I guess it must be traditional here or something…
