Daragon: Chapter 1 - Broken Jaw (part 1)
There are many tales about them, as well as other things in our history, but most are never spoken about. Most tales are forgotten, waiting for someone deep into the darkness to listen. But I shall tell you one about a Hybrid And not just anyone, but a real hero for his tribe to tell. This is the story about "Broken Jaw ".
It all started many hundreds of years ago.. No one really remembers how he lost the lower part of his Jaws, some made up stories about how he came to lose it. But to tell the truth only he himself known. Some said that he hatched that way, others that he lost it in a great fight at a young age. Whatever it was he never spoke about it, maybe it was a punishment for something he had done long ago. Anyway, as the years passed by he grow older and wiser, as well as becoming a great warrior. Most of his opponent were scared away by a single glimpt of his 'mandible' (lower jaw), fearing he was too powerful for them to match up with. Years passed, leaving rumors about him. Most of his own tribe has long ago forgotten his real name, leaving him with his new one, 'Broke Jaw'. At the age of 1578, the Elders made him General over their warriors, leaving him to defend them all if anyone was to suddenly attack.
Life was peacefully for the next century as Broken Jaw watched over the lands, leading his warriors to victory each time. He had also gotten himself a mate, named Thunderaz. Her name came from a thunderstorm that they happened to have one night around 500 years ago. Most of the eggs were crushed beneath rocks that year and only some few survived before they were able to move the storm clouds away. She was young for her age, about 463, while he was 1765. A few years later they both decided to raise a family and have an egg, or two. To his delight she laid two for her first time. They sparkled like thunder and gold together. He told her that he wished to name one of them "Traziki", if one was to become a male. She didn't know why, still she promised to give it to one of their hatchlings.
Weeks passed until it was almost time for the eggs to hatch. Most of their tribe had placed their eggs at one place, deep inside a cave where they were to hatch. But Broken Jaw and Thunderaz had decided to raise their own hatchlings since they both wished to do it. Sadly Broken Jaw was not to be there and raise them. A few hours later a loud explosion was heard across their lands. They all hurried to protect their eggs as Broken Jaw ordered his warriors to come to him. He told five of his best fighters to escort the elders as well as him mate and eggs to the safe aria far away. Five others were to protect the rest of their tribe as they fled away. The rest of them would deal with the root of the attackers, firing at them. He had around 246 warriors following his orders as he told each group what to do as the last stayed and protected him. His mate, Thunderaz, didn't want to leave him, not without him promising her that he would return back to her. "Thunderaz, I promise that I shall return to you. This battle won't kill me. I promise that I will seek you out as soon as we are done here. Don't worry my dear, I shall always give all of my love to you and our little ones. See you later, my love." It was the last he ever said to her before he watched her leave with the others.
Using their elemental powers they gathered a large amount of clouds in the sky before thunder started to rain down at the ground. Two groups attacked at first, scattering the enemy all around the place as they quickly finished them off. At first it looked like they were about to win this war, but suddenly their attackers fired some kind of device at them, draining them on their power. It didn't take long before his warriors fell to the ground defeated. But the worst was yet to come. As they laid there unable to move at all they shoot them in the head. Some died right away while others suffered a long and painful death. For a moment he just stood there looking at what had just happened before him, frozen by fear he watched as they came closer.
He looked behind him at the rest of his tribe, seeing that many had still to get away. Most of them were around 1-15 years and had yet to learn how to fly. Quickly before he changed his mind he ordered the rest of his warriors to rescue and move the last ones to safety as he himself would deal with their attackers. A few of them followed after their general as the rest did as told, helping the young ones. As he ran towards them in full speed he saw how they used Swamp Hybrids to charge at them. There are three sizes of them total, these was the 2nd one. They become as big as a large dog or horse, and it can get quite aggressive when dealing with them. There ain't much that they fear to tell.
Without too much of a problem he and his fellow warriors easily took care of them. Some got too injured to fight, and quickly left before they fell for the enemy's weapons. Injured or nor Broken Jaw still fought on and was determined to defeat them, or at least give his tribe time enough to escape. As they fought on he watched his fellow warriors fall before him. Suddenly something hitted his right front leg and he know exactly what it was. Even with the device stuck onto his paw he fought on. But as the device quickly drained him on what power he had left he grabbed it with his jaws, ripping it away as skin and flesh followed with it. He spited it out as a bolt of thunder hitted him from above.
He felt his power return to him, but this time he fired a shot of thunder from his mouth before the 2nd device even touched him. He watched others around him fall motion less to the ground and know what he had to do. Quickly he fired a bolt of thunder at each of the ones he could save as he yelled to them to rip off the device from their bodies. They did as told as soon as he had charge each one up, some he helped by just defending them, others needed much more as they were to week to stand straight. He told them all to get away, to flee for their life. Then it happened. A bullet went through the base of his throat and he almost fell to the ground. All around him the rest of his fellow tribe warriors fled the scene as fast as they could, leaving him behind.
As his head hung low to the ground he started to spit blood. His vision blurred and he whispered: “I’m sorry my love...” He stared at the attackers as more thunder hitted his body this time and he made one last move knowing this would be his last battle. Slowly he turned around, his yellow-white blood pouring down on the ground as he charged himself to max and charged. The attack had never before been seen by human eyes. This proved why he was chosen to become a General in first place by the Elders. He could create a massive snake of thunder and lightning to attack at large distance. He could not shoot lighting from its head or mouth yet. But he took out as many as he could before a new device came at him once more. Lifting his already damaged paw to catch it was not a good idea. It got stuck right below his wrist, above the paw.
The few last ones watched as he fought them and as they watched his thunder serpent slowly dyeing and vanish away, he suddenly ripped of his right paw and threw it far away. One of them hurried to it, lifting it in between it teeth, carefully not to touch the device on it. Then it quickly hurried away, back to the others at the top of the hill before it hurried away to follow the others. The rest of them watched as the fought went on, hiding close to the ground. As for the one with the paw he know for sure that he could not take it with him to the safe aria, or they might all be in danger once more. Instead he hid it at a safe place that only he know about.
Broken Jaw was at his limit, that he would die at this battle field around him. His home lands, the place where he had grown up for the last hundreds of centuries. Still no one would know how he came to be the one he was today as he suddenly took another bullet into his throat and fell to the ground. Blackness surrounding him as his vision slowly disappeared and he passed out from the lack of blood and oxygen.

Info: about "Thunder Elemental Hybrid/Hybridixus"
1. Most Thunder Elemental Hybrids never knows their real parents as the adults collect all the eggs inside a large cave where they wait for them to hatch. Only a very few may raise their own hatchlings as they wish, having earned the respect of the others. The eggs are laid during the late summer, or (the season following summer) autumn/fall.
2. The Elder ones are like one leader together, wise and old they know what to do if they are ever to be attacked be anyone. The role of a 'General' means that the Elders trust that one to keep them safe from danger. Normally a General only have about 50-100 warriors, but some Generals have been known to have around 300-500, being a good group leader. The reason for this is easy as some Generals split their warriors into smaller groups that follows the orders from one of them, who in turn follows the orders from their General.
3. They always make sure to have at least one safe place prepared in any case they are under attack and need to escape quickly. They may move back a few hundred of years later (or more), but only if needed.
