Nice! She's a beaute! Love the physiology in general. I say "general" because it takes me a while to get used to the look of some characters so that I no longer get the feeling that there is something amiss.
I will say the style looks a tad "toonish" to me, but then it bugs me when a furry character does not have detailed furring at the edges. "Toonish" is generally more cleancut and traditional animators don't usually worry about depth of fur texturing in animals.

As shi is both hyena and a bovine, shi has really really short hair. Hence, the little amount of "fur lines".

I like designing tattoos...particularly more of the tribal type.
I came up with this one from my symbol being a crescent moon. Both for my name, and my character. Luna. And I love symmetry for some reason. Symmetry and yin yangs. I like how it came out.
As for the requests...I take about 15-20 at a time. Mostly doing trades and commissions now though. I like getting paid for what I love to do. ^^

I guess I just prefer "shaggier" looking characters/sub-species. Factoring in the distance and your point about hir short fur, I can see where smoother outlines are realistic.
Designing tattoos is easy and fun. And symmetry is just more attractive to certain personality types.

Most people do like the more furry characters I draw than hir anyway... :/
My cousin is a tattoo artist so I design them, he does them lol. Im just glad people like my art enough to give me commissions. Its not like my prices are expensive or anything. Just, there are alot more people out there with alot more skill.
