Okay, hi everyone. Things have been pretty busy on my end, but thought I'd finally talk a little bit about something from me thats headed to the Club Stripes site come this summer time.
This is Zoey, cute ratty girly from my new Beast World series based around the folio series I released back in 2003-04'.
Zoey is a thief girl who lives amongst the big city walls living off of whatever she finds or steal. Even her clothing here is made from a hanging sign she removed from some unwary business.
Her uneven hair too is probably a product of her life style. Why get caught by the city guards when you can just lop off the hair they've grabbed with your dagger?
Anywho, don't want to say much more, but hope this will be something everyone can look forward to.
Also, hooray for petite girls. Small is cute dammit. I've been wanting to make a girl like this for awhile and
tsampikos awesome work finally pushed me enough to do it. Thanks man, you rock so much! X3
Nude version of this image to appear on the new Club Stripes update tonight. ~ thanks all who support our site. We're really working hard to come up with brand new and exciting things for you guys!
(the CS update with the nude is now up for those that are interested.)

I find it difficult to believe that he isn't using this site for much more than a front for the real stuff. Besides that however, Im really just sick and tired of seeing one great artist after another vanish from their once adoring fan base, only to become exclusive to patrons of an exorbitant site. Im sickened with myself for having to resort to illegal means to scrape one small pic, one small comic page of my former favorite artists. I feel as if betrayed, abandoned, ignored, all for the sake of easy cash. But have I the right to complain? have I the reasons to argue here? after all, I could always pay the fees for membership for the site... and then actually fund those artists whom I for so long enjoyed. Yet even if I thought I should, if it were alright to become the very sheep-patrons of the site that I detest (save those who so valiantly and selflessly leak pictures) I still simply COULD NOT afford it. I would never suggest that these artists should give away every creation they make for nothing, but to continue to keep their artwork exclusive, while only offering those off site the most modest leftovers and excess of the club, is to me pretentious, demeaning and down right offensive to me and many others who harbor these same resentments towards artists they once praised. Thats not the sum of it all however, the epitome of my own personal resentments is towards the site is that it keeps recruiting, taking in one artist after the other it seems. All to slow their activity, and eventually vanish... save for those scraps off the table...
I suppose one more stack on the dogpile from someone who's out to 'receive' these 'scraps'.
Miu, Club Stripes, Sexy Fur, the whole industry in an inspiration to me. I can't sleep at night because of the prospects of being able to someday do amazing work, get recognition, and make a living all at the same time.
Regardless of how you feel he's exploiting this free service to get money you have to push beyond how long it takes for him to do the picture and consider how much time and effort he's put into his skill to make all of this possible. Its just like learning any other profession or trade. If drawing furry were medical science then Miu'd be a brain surgeon.
When you buy a folio or a membership to CS or wherever you pay for the hard work on the pictures and all the sacrifice behind the talents to make it all possible.

I find it surprising that you're choosing to attack one of the artists who's working hard 24/7 to be able to continue to post free artwork for the enjoyment of everyone on FA.
Consider that there was a time before FA when Miu didn't even get to post artwork once a month (because it all went to paid things, whether comic books or projects that weren't even furry-oriented). To get access to Miu's artwork, you'd have to have known (ahead of time) which comic books he was going to be involved in and then buy them, or be lucky enough to run into him at a convention and lay down even more money for a portfolio.
Consider that working full-time on Club Stripes actually enables him to post MORE 100% free-access art than he did back then, and actually allows him to talk with people and enjoy the interaction of an artist community.
If you're going to go off on a whiny rant about people using this site to promote themselves, then why isn't this rant targeted at every single other artist on FA who decides to release something for sale that happens to have exclusive content in it? And for that matter, why not come face me directly instead? It sounds like your beef is with Club Stripes and you're just taking it out on Miu, which is ridiculous.
Perhaps instead of attacking someone who's working to consistently *increase* his public art output as well as advance his art career, you should step back and think about what it'd be like if he didn't even have time to post anything at all because he had some crap job that sapped all of his time and interest in doing art, period.
Club Stripes helped re-energize this artist (and others) to continue doing even MORE awesome furry art, when the rest of the market made him feel like it was going nowhere. Why are you trying to make him feel bad about sharing it?

I beseech you to hear me out once more, only this time as the lowlife which I so rightfully have been addressed:
There is no pardon acceptable, no excuse available for my shameful transgression. I owe my deepest apologies not just to Miu, not to just club stripes but to the entirety of this tightly woven fandom. It was my blind jealousy that drove me to speak such despicable untruths, Jealousy from my own selfish lust for unpaid exchange, directed to the supporters of the site. Jealousy towards the circle of friends and companions which protect each other, as you all have demonstrated so well. Finally, it was Jealousy towards the very artists themselves for their dedication and pristine abilities, both qualities of which are vastly beyond my capabilities. And so it is with deep regret and a heavy heat from the anger I have caused, that I prostrate myself before you, ashamed and remorseful. It has been the swiftness and precise response on behalf of you all, that has wrenched me from my cynical and highly mistaken assumptions. I have been cruel and unrelenting, both in the fandom and outside, though now I am determined to end this. I am choosing to retreat from the community for a while, in hopes of returning as a more respecting and kinder individual. I can only hope that I might find forgiveness in my absence... Though this note may seem practiced, or rehearsed, I can assure you that it is of my careful orchestration, and completely forthright. Though throughout my deliberate contemplations in regards to my self degrading comment, one truth has remained consistently simplistic, and it is that I am sorry.

There are plunty of places to go for free nakedness. Not very hard to find. If you are very poor hit the groups on yahoo or something to get anything on the planet for naked realated stuff.
The truth is everything is free you just have to know where to look. Its kind of pointless to make a site that restricts you for money just to see minorly edited stuff. When anybody can get it on a free website even on FA there are plunty of nakedness on here. I'm just saying its not exactly anything special its just naked like any other perfessional art around. Sure its his own unique art. But nothing we can't imagine or haven't seen before.
But my point is you should make money off commissions rather then a Website. Anybody can get a supscription and feed it to friends for free their for you lose money. With commissions you don't. Just some advice coming from somebody who knows friends who do some hard core searches and stuff. I don't know how they get this stuff but they feed it to friends who feed it to friends who feed it to friends.
But I get plunty from FA as it is. Some things are just too extreme for me on those payed sites anyways. Even tho I talk nasty I really just like that kind of stuff to a point. Not really my thing when its too much of it. I'm just not wild over hintai so. But some of my friends are and thats all they have is gig's and gig's of pics on their comp and I'm like WTF.

Sorry. I'm just saying. I don't mean to have anything taken personally. I'm just saying whats safer. How I would sell my art. I wouldn't trust a website. I would find a better way. Maybe restrict the ability to download the art itself on your payed site with a flash program that's all I can recommend.
In response to these statements, I would say that perhaps you should take into account exactly how much time and effort actually goes into one of these images. On average, an image with a moderate amount of detail can take approximately four to five hours (for artists that are relatively fast). For more intricate images, it can take upwards to about 10-12 hours (at least). Do you truly think that it's fair that an artist should take at least 5 hours of their time, bust a nut on an image, and not receive anything in return?
..ever?
Or is it more fair for that artist to ask for a small drop in the bucket so he can FEED and CLOTHE himself, all while producing more and more art for your visual enjoyment? Personally, I take the latter option. Take into account that you have -no- right to view Miu or any other artists' work. If someone wants to keep an image private, or post it on a site where he can be paid for it, it's -his- prerogative. Not yours.
I think you have no right to attack anyone that is only doing what they wish to do with what is theirs by right.

You, and people who think like you, seriously have a lot of growing up to do. He posts quality goods for free on his FA account without needing to, and people like you still strive to wreck it with your petty whining because you have entitlement complexes.
Get over it, and get over yourself.
Get over it, and get over yourself.
Such an apealing expression, and I really like her hair (and the concept behind its lopsidedness).
New Beast World series? I can't wait! The Beast World folio I bought a while back was my favourite folio ever.
Also, I love how much variety in size and shape there is among your characters. Not only is it more visually interesting ("variety is the spice of life") but, as dumb a thing as this may be to say about porn, it makes me feel personally validated. I've wanted to say that for a while, and this seemed an appropriate place to say it. You rule!

She's cute, even for a rat.... (Rats are pretty good sized- I should know, since I have mice as pets, and have no room for a rat!)
As to the whole paysite thing, I'll put in another view:
I don't like teasers, but I have no problem with paysites, per se- I simply can't afford 'em, not on disability funds. :P I think certain work should be kept SEPARATE between pay and free, this way one doesn't have to feel hard-pressed to get an alternate (nude/uncensored) version they can't afford, but still be able to say that if you like this fur's artwork, he/she has some to sell at such-and-such site. Teasers only frustrate.
Just one fur's opinion.

Oh man... I instantly fell in love with Zoey. Thank you for this.... really. Despite the posts that marred this topic.... it really made my day.... er.... morning.
I especially like her top. It reminded me of this inside joke we used to have here about a cousin of mine. Well... it isn't a joke, since she has actually worn bandannas folded in half as a top before, but still..... every time we saw one when she was around we cracked a joke about it. It was all in good fun though... and it gave me idea for a top of my own.
Oh, and the backstory about the hair was a nice touch! It's little things like that that make characters pop.

Like I said on dA, this is amazing. I love everything about this pic; the pose, the colors, the softness of the lines and of course the model! Zoe seems like a very interesting character and I can't wait to see more of her around here!
The background is AWESOME! I love the world-world map feel!
