she's a fairy who's half beetle (mum/Al) and half butterfly (dad/Rose).

she's a cockroach.

she WAS born a butterfly with beetleish features (four arms is common among beetle fairies) but one of her dad's ex girlfriends attanded her blessing (you know that thing where they invite every fairy in the land to give a kid grace and beauty and shit) and got drunk, and when it was her turn to bless the child she went batshit and turned sid into a cockroach. after she was carried away it was decided that it wasn't a big deal and Al and Rose still thought she was awesome. They didn't try to fix the curse because it would be more trouble than it was worth and without it sid was just a little less pretty and had different wings ect. the curse really just made her neigh indestructible, very crafty, and killed any possibility for flight.

she now owns half of fairyland.
