[OLD] Amaroq - Character Bio
Some of you have waited a long while for it, others have just learned that I even exist, etc.

MARCH UPDATE
Some notes about Amaroq's story.
He spends most of his time trying to find his mother, using whatever techniques he learns and whatever equipment he comes across to help him along his way. As such, he never stays in one place for long. To fund his pseudo-nomadic lifestyle, he has taken up work as a freelance mercenary.
He is unaware of his Kitsune ancestry, due to his mother's secrecy over the subject. As such, he has no idea how to control most of his natural abilities. They normally only start showing up after a kitsune becomes aware of their true nature, but the fact Amaroq is host to a phoenix has set them into overdrive. Because of this, they will spontaneously trigger at the most unexpected of times.
Another thing to note is that for the time being he only has one tail, and the marking on his back (which functions like a metaphysical barcode) is a common trait kitsunes and their descendants share. It is also unique per individual (though it always retains the same basic design; a grid of geometric primitives).
The fact Amaroq is part kitsune is also the reason the elder phoenixes distrusted him, as the two races have been rivals for many generations (and with knowledge of Amaroq's existence, the two are now on the brink of war).
One trait that both kitsunes and phoenixes share in common is that they don't keep any physical records, relying on something not too different from oral tradition only on a psionic level.

Psychologically, he was a Complete MESS. And because that phoenix that merged with him didn't really have a personality of it's own, he often felt like there was a blank void occupying most of his mind. And the thing is, he wasn't even MISSING anything (except maybe a few little bits of stuff here and there), it was just that the part that got added to him was almost completely empty except for a few basic memories and a bunch of really weird instincts.
It is too late. Things between me and the artist have been shakey lately. Doesn't help that the money had to be mailed to her.
I know that at some point, she syatted working on it, but first she had computer trouble. Then, she got caught up with a bunch of other stuff.
