I thought it was high time Elbi had a proper reference sheet that reflected her updated design, so I made her one. (totally planning on buying some commissions soon!) Trying to get used to my tablet again, it's been an awfully long time since I've used it to draw like this...:/ Also, I had a back view, but I didn't like it, so I scrapped it lol. She doesn't have anything on her back but the shell anyway.

What is the name of your fursona?
Her full name is Elbianna Pua, but most people just call her Elbi

Where did the name of your fursona come from?
Elbi is a literal pronunciation of the initials for my username I've had on the internet since I was about ten, luckiibeckii. So, luckiibeckii=LB=Elbi

What species is your fursona and why did you choose that species?
Elbi is an Island Bori because I was a big neopet player when I was in grade school and my dream was to get a bori and paint her with the island paintbrush. I never got enough neopoints so I decided to 'bring her to life' and achieve my dream by BECOMING an Island Bori! Way better than just having a virtual painted pet! She was also originally loosely based on a yellow Bori I created back in 2010 when I rejoined neopets named beautifulfantastigrrl. I wanted Elbi to embody all those traits. a beautiful, fantastic girl.

As I come to love her more and develop a kind of story for her, I also realize I was drawn to the island aspect of her design because I relate so much to the islander way of living and the easygoing nature of both hawaiian and islander peoples. My grandparents were from Puerto Rico and I have visited the island a few times so far in my adult life and there is a genuine peace and happiness among most of the people there, a simplicity that I really love and respect. I wanted to bring that with me wherever I went, so I incoporated it into Elbi's personality and design.

What color is your fursona and why?
She's a bright sunshiney yellow because she's very mellow, upbeat and happy.

What is your fursona's personality and how does this compare to your RL personality?
She's definitely more calm then I am, more forgiving and more open and loving than I typically am in real life. She doesn't worry as much, and has not a care in the world short of loving her friends and making new ones, and enjoying the beautiful planet she lives on. She embodies my mindset in a perfect world, where I never wanted for anything and I could simply live and be happy. She's also very girly and feminine and is always grooming herself, whereas I am very low maintenance IRL,I love hoodies and sweatpants, I barely know how to do natural makeup, and my favorite hairstyle is a ponytail.

What is one item your fursona owns that is significant to you in RL?
Her ukulele. It's a definite tie to my musical dabbling when I was younger and how I used to sing, play piano and guitar. I have less time for it now, but whenever Elbi holds her uke and strums I feel attached to that part of my past.


How has your fursona changed over the years?
She used to have different markings, blue eyes, and I had changed her claws into white paws. But I went back to the original neopet design with my own little tweaks to the markings to make it my own.

How long have you had this fursona?
Oh lordy, Idk if I can remember...maybe...2011?
