Maxi-Rover's characters from "Anchor Dog," a side project about pirate dogs....The chartreuse I used may have been too subtle, the sky just looks yellow. Lots of fucking around with color I underwent, especially in Anchor's regalia here...
Doing this, I listened to side 4 of "Works Vol. 1" over and over again, so imagine the bluesy version of "Fanfare for the Common Man" and "Pirates." "Pirates" is just one of my favorite songs - I couldn't tell you why, it's synthy and overlong and orchestral, but it captures the overblown opulence of piratical fantasy.
