I like the 'blue flame' lighting effect as well as the pose and overall layout. It isn't exactly clear what is going on but I think it is better that way, leaving the interpretation to the viewer. It doesn't look like he's holding the kopesh in a position to attack with it and it seems like the 'blue flame' could be the viewer, or be surrounding the viewer.

I should clarify that I think the intent is that the blue flames are surrounding the character, but they are so wispy and the character is so close to the viewer that there are some other ways it can be interpreted, which I think is part of the charm of this drawing. If you wanted it to be clear that the flames were surrounding the character, he'd probably need to be further away/smaller or the background wider such that it was clear the flames are around him. The blue flames do a good job of separating a dark character from a black background.

I found the point of view interesting too, it looks like the character is looking at and reaching out to interact with the viewer, which is somewhat uncommon.

Overall a very interesting picture, I enjoyed it a lot.
