I do wonder though. Where is the Golden Comet buried at now?
Arnoe's really going to have to explain this one.
I like Dunston Howe.
Somebody with common sense and knowing that the U.N. can't be everywhere.
Can you tell me more about bureau please?
Do they have a pay scale and stuff.
I like to know a bit more about Eagle Eye. He sounds like a very good sworn and mostly exclusive enemy of
Lady Musketeer.

Ok, I'll try to answer all your questions.
The Golden Comet is now buried near the earth's core. The only one who could possibly retrieve it is Super Genie herself and she has no interest in wealth. Yes, Patricia Arnoe is REALLY going to be on the hot seat for this one. Dunston Howe may be a bureaucrat, but he's much moe level headed and calm than others in the agency (like Dr. Arnoe). Secretly, he may well admire the unregistered superfurs of Colmaton, but he could NEVER admit that to anyone.
The American Bureau of Superheroes is an extension of the United Nations Bureau of Superheroes who attempt to regulate and govern all superhero activity in the world. The UN Superheroes Act of 2000 (ratified by most world governments, including the United States) created the bureau. Superheroes have been known to cause much collateral damage, so in exchange for immunity from prosecution for those damages, registered superfurs agree to abide by the rules and supervision provided by their national and UN bureaus. There is a payscale for all full time agency supervisors but not for superfurs themselves (money could be traced and therefore compromise their secret identities). This is why Ji-Lin/Crimson Cur has to use student loans to help pay for her college tuition (along with earned scholarships). Ordinary superfurs like Wonder Wolf and Demon Dog also "worjk" for no pay. Patricia Arnoe/Mystic Cat would be on the payroll (through very stealthy means).
Eagle Eye was an evil Siberian Husky genius who wanted to use the threat of a death/destruction ray to blackmail the city into paying him millions. He made the mistake of demanding that Lady Musketeer deliver the ransom money alone and unarmed, The daring Lady Musketeer used her wits to defeat him without her weapons by simply cutting the power to the entire building and then knocking the stunned villain out with one punch. Erma Jean threw up her hands in surrender and swore to testify against him in court, which she did and was granted probation instead of jail time.
Although Eagle Eye swore to get even with both of them, he died in prison in 2001.

So that explains the Regulation Act.
I had an idea as to how this would be enacted with Lady Liberty. I've thought of it as like Lady Liberty's law.
But that's another story.
So they don't get paid. Explains a lot.
At least the VA(Veteran's Administration) and other organizations treat their people better than the ABS and
UNBS.

Aaand yet again we've got another goody. Much to be loved about this, but especially liked Mysticat getting called out and chewed out for her actions, as well as Tom once more getting the humiliation he so richly deserves.
Gotta say it was nice to see more heroes, and that was certainly an... interesting method Foley used to keep them busy, I got to say.

Well, in CD's world, Ben Maddog (before he became Electro-Mutt) was married to another collie named Emily. She bore him a litter of puppies, one son (Roger) and five daughters (Abby, Linda, Molly, Vicki and Samantha). Emily was killed by a drunk driver shortly after giving birh to a sixth daughter (Misty). Ben raised them all up as a single father, but that task was made easier since by that time, Ben Maddog was one of the most famous attorneys in America and was very rich. While the children grew up (four of the daughters becoming lawyers too) Ben, struck by a strange blue lightning bolt, became Electro-Mutt. It was shortly after this that Ben Maddog came to the aid of a foreign national who had received a disputed inheritance. Her name was Rupee Bajnab, and unknown to Ben, this attractive canine mix was really a powerful sorceress over two hundred years old. Mob bosses wanted Rupee's land so badly they ordered a hit on her. Ben became Electro-Mutt and came to the rescue, but not before being shot several times in the chest. After using her magic to stop her mobster attacters, Rupee healed Electro-Mutt, discovering his true identity in the process. The two instantly fell in love with each other and were quickly married. It was then that Ben talked Rupee into dawning the costume of Super Genie.
As for Ben's kids, while out on a camping trip, Roger, his girlfriend Kyra and his sisters discovered an ancient cave where they found what appeared to be a huge diamond buried in a deep underground chamber. Abby, the hot tempered one, wanted to dig straight down to it but before anyone could stop her, she caused the floor of the cave to collaspe, sending all of them
falling into the chamber. Unknown to any of them at the time, what looked like a giant diamond was actually a molecular excellerator left behind by an alien race who visited the region six hundred years ago. Greedy Abby and Vicki pleaded with the others to help them free the giant diamond, so they all touched it together with their paws. Instantly, the overtaxed alien device 'shocked' each of those present before turning dark and disintergrating before their eyes. Trapped in the cave, they all soon discovered that the strange diamond had given each of them special powers:
Abby Maddog could turn herself into a furry torch and became Fire Dog.
Roger Maddog now posessed incredible strength, he became Jugger-Mutt.
Kyra Maddog (Roger married her later) could strength in all directions, she became Plastic-Pooch.
Linda Maddog found she could pass through solid objects, she became Ghost Dog.
Vicki Maddog had the power of flight, she became Sky-Mutt
Molly Maddog now had amazing speed, she became Rapid Rover.
At first, Misty Maddog appeared to be unaffected. It was discovered later that she became more aware of the supernatural, able to learn and use good magic. Under the guidence of Rupee, Misty became Magic-Mutt.
Samantha Maddog's intelligence grew a hundred-fold. She never became a superfur, but when Ben and the others formed the Collie Squadron, she created all sorts of amazing inventions for them to use. Samantha quietly married a German Shepherd dog named Otto (but that's another story).
Also, Rupee had a first husband that turned evil a decade into their marriage. He was a wolf named Viccan and (like Rupee) is a weilder of magic. After trying unsuccessfully to turn his wife evil, Viccan officially divorced her and left into the jungles of India in order to perfect his evil magical abilities. Rupee and Viccan had a daughter together (Shamansta) and Viccan later married a canine (Delhi) and after the birth of their son (Shankar) tried to kill her when she refused to help his evil plans. Delhi allowed Viccan to believe she was dead by escaping to a parallel dimension and hid for many years. Viccan lied to Shankar (told him his mother was killed by wild beasts) and tried to raise him up to be evil. When the adult Shankar discovered the truth about his mother (when she returned to our world) Viccan tried to kill him but Shankar defeated him and sent him into a dimensional void. Of course, Viccan will return someday.
Ok, maybe that's more information than you asked for, but I thought you needed to know the WHOLE story. I didn't mention how Samantha met Otto and his sister (they were both adopted) a Arabian mare named April Raine. Both Otto and April received life saving cybernetic surgery and became superfurs themselves BEFORE they met Samantha (or 'Sam" like she likes to be called). Now THAT'S another story too...
Sorry.... too much info.....

Oops! I goofed on the "Gas" story, I'll have to fix it. I'm surprised CD missed that error too, he usually points out things like that when he reviews the stories.
A few more things, ALL of them went underground, refusing to become registered superheroes. Ben Maddog and Prairie Mason were bitter rivals in law school but became good friends who worked together back in their superhero heyday. Also, Gila Monster became a friend of the Maddog family after he defeated a street gang who had cornered Abby, Vicki, Molly and Linda when their car broke down in a high crime section of Atlanta. Before the ladies could transform into superfurs, Gila dove right into the gang and beat up all of them using just his strength and his 2 x 4. Gila later used his friendship to beg Ben to defend Dr. Gwen Smith (the poodle that fell in love with him when he saved her from her criminal boss) in court and negotiate probation for her cooperation with police testifying against her former boss.

Well, Crimson Cur was moving faster than the speed of light, thus she unwittingly causing the 'friction' that created the rip, or hole, in the time-space continuum.
Ok, so the exact 'science' is foggy, but that's the wonderful thing about fictional 'universes', the writer is free to interpret the 'rules of science' anyway they wish.
Anyhow, that's my explanation.
