Possibly starting from some Canadian tourists who became infected, the beavers you've been seeing around are walking stereotypes dialed up to 11. Unlike most creatures, these guys are at least friendly and neighbourly as they drunkenly snuggle up for some fun - all with an 'aboot' and an 'eh?'.

And we're on to the next wave of Flexible Survival sketchbook art from Furnal Equinox 2014. FS is an adult TF 'survival' game that I do a lot of writing for donations to support the game.
The Beavers was a bonus option that didn't get selected during monthly voting, but a fan contributed to have them added. These guys are parodies of Canadians, with a wide variety of random Canadianisms and sayings thrown into all their scenes. Unlike most of the roaming monsters, they're also a lot friendlier about their demands for sex with the player, acting more like horny drunks than vicious beasts.
This pudgy guy was drawn by Heather Bruton at FE 2014. I'd mentioned he was meant to be a walking stereotype and she had fun sticking in some added details. With his double-double, his hockey stick and his other hockey stick, this happy guy's definitely ready for some fun, eh?
