MMM's Got A New Ride On...
Heh, heh, heh.
After a three year hiatus, I am once again a proud member of the Loyal Order Of The Chicken Foot.

To be done: New paint, fix the A/C system (i HATE troubleshooting vacuum lines), other minor tweaks.
UPDATE: Astral Silver paint has been done. Updated photo to be coming. :)

I was wondering when you were going to get another one. Going to go with the original color paint? I always thought that those looked good in a champegne color, a little easier on hot days to get into but still keeping the more luxury style coloration.
Then all we need is 22 inch spinners, a pooty duck fart muffler, an F1 style spoiler... oh wait, you have self respect and class. A nice paint job should be just right to keep the car in the spirit it's intended for!

Then perhaps throw this bad boy in there.

Yeah, that's generally what people do when they don't know squat about earodynamics. It's like the Bugatti Veron when it needs to hit 255 MPH the whole thing hunkers down to the ground with hydraulic (or airbag, not sure) suspension and it's spoiler sucks down flat against the body. It's just kids who watched too much Fast and the Furious.
I had a 68 220D, myself. A fun old car, in more ways than one:

I heard a story about a guy who bought one of these Mercedes in the wintertime, had it a week and spun out, wrapping it around a tree. I went to visit him in the hospital, and he was chipper, all things considered. about the car, he just shrugged, and said that was the way the cookie crumbled. I smiled and said that was the way the Mercedes Bends.

I know! Let's get something wild like a big nasty turbocharger and have sucking fresh air right from behind the Mercedes grille emblem! Polish it nicely so people can kinda see behind the grille to see that beastly bad boy. Then we'll put an intercooler flat under the hood with some louvers or an aviation concave scoop on the hood itself! Well slam that sucker down to about 1 inch off the ground with airbags and put a spitter on the front to redirect air around it so you have low pressure under the car. Throw some 20 inch rims all around and a widebody kit with brake cooling ducts and well go with four piston calipers all around... yeah... that would be bitchin...
Heh. Well, I've owned beater Benzes off and on for the past decade or so, though I've been on hiatus since my last 114 put a rod through the block...

And of course, my 116 came to a sad end as well...

So, this 107 is my midlife crisis machine. :)

Ectually, most of that has already been done by the previous owner. Plus the tranny's been freshened up. So, cosmetics and A/C are the main items at this point...
She's already been resprayed Astral Silver, BTW. New interior is in the process of being fabricated. ;)

(snicker) Just the usual, i.e. it only runs in default. According to the paperwork I got from the PO, the valve under the hood has been replaced already. Don't have it handy so's I can't check the vacuum lines. How often does the computer behind the glovebox go flooey?
