Jane blinked, the eyes were gone, replaced by the darkness of the hallway. She stumbled forward in a daze, her balance thrown off with each step. Her toes and fingers tingled with a strange sensation. Another step caused her to trip, sending the remains of her shoe sailing into the dark warehouse. Her talons scratched the floor, as her toes lengthened. Before her eyes, her fingernails became claws as well, one of her digits withering away as her grey skin toughened. She kicked away the other shoe in panic, a new, stranger feeling overcoming her as a heat began to build within her...
