Caius - Fionbri Character Auction - closed
Here is Caius, a majestic little fellow who seems to be literally star stuff. He loves sitting in wide open meadows on cloudless nights to find constellations, study the stars and ponder about life. He loves fireflies and they love him because they each have something in common - they both twinkle in the dark!

I have an outstanding bill that desperately needs to be paid (it's embarassing how big the bill is, but this should cover it... Maybe, I might do one more auction), so there is an autobuy on this auction.

The other questions I have is, is the price really determined by the character, or the artist they are buying from? I see chars like the above go for less than 30.00 if it were created by another person other than Falvie and a few others. So it confuses me a bit with the market and how its all set up. Oo.

That's an odd question, in this case they will since it is Falvie, yeah? Seeing as having her art is pretty awesome around here.

And that much is true. Fal here is famous, when you think about it. Her and a few others who I won't bother naming are bound to get more money for things, but that's not all. A piece of art with this sort of quality deserves to go for quite a bit of cash, it's excellent like most of her other work. You also have to keep in mind that Falvie has loooooads of watchers while the other person might not have as many, meaning less people view it and thus less people with money are able to bid and increase the price of the art piece.
So the price is determined by the quality of the art and how known the person who is drawing it is, in my opinion.

You said what I was thinking but worded it much better. Follow has taken the time building the community around her and yes for that reason has much more exposure than a good deal others. Within those who see there would be a higher chance of someone with the funds to purchase the character.
However anyone could search "adopt" etc, and see anything ragged.
Mind I had nothing but respect for Falvies chars and art creations. I'm just curious about the market in general in conjunction with marketing and exposure.

Sad thing is I've never even considered doing that. It's strange, there are a lot of good artists out there that are pretty much unknown. I've always wondered how Falvie and other artists get to this point of popularity. I see people with art as good and even better, sometimes, as theirs and yet that person will have a fraction of the amount of watchers.
That being said, Falvie's earned all of this through hard work. She constantly dishes out quality art without fail! I'm not surprised she does so well.
