Now immortalized for all to see.. Shiv my Wererat assassin's shining moment in our game. this was about when he was Rogue8/ Assassin 6.

We were making our way down to a ruined temple to stop a big bad wizard from turning himself into an evil god of death. I pick open a door and peer inside, seeing a large blue dragon. We took a few moments to prep and buff ourselves. I used my ring of Invisibility. then the party went in. Immediately, the dragon used it's Phatasmal Terrain ability, making everyone in the party think they had suddenly been summoned into some kind of obstacle course leading to the dragon. Shiv made his Will save, and saw through the illusion. And so, as the party buffed some more and made their weay closer to the dragon for a few rounds, SHiv simply walked closer to it, each round taking his action to prepare for the Assassins death strike. the party charge the dragon, but before they could make it, Shiv got up close, popped off his crossbow, and shot the dragon. this ended my invisibility. But with buffs to Dex from Cats grace and being a wererat, and a few other effects... I needed to roll a 19 to make the dragon's AC of something like 32. So I rolled, and the dice came up 19. the whole table actually all got up and shouted. The dragon's brains blew out the side of it's head and it fell in a heap, nearly pinning the paladin to the ground. It was a rare moment of glory I doubt I'll ever be able to repeat. Shiv kept that crossbow bolt, later had it enchanted to be a Bolt of Dragon Slaying. It's too bad Shiv became a turncoat (hey, it was either betray the party or suffer a TPK) and I felt i had to retire him from play.
