Sakura themed faerie pinup 2 of 2 commissioned by
of one of his newer characters that doesn't yet have a name. I was going to try and think of one while I worked on the piece but I totally forgot, and couldn't come up with one last minute, sorry Sky! I'm totally thinking something with fire in it though, if that helps. .u>

I love how wild and rugged he looks! Those wings, clothing placement, and accessories all contribute a lot to that feel. Between this one and the prior one for Skyican you are killing it with the color schemes here! They both look really good with the way the colors go together for the characters, clothing, and nature elements.
I'd call him Dante or summin' like that.

I have a little trick up my sleeve when it comes to color theory, sometimes I use this site: http://colorschemedesigner.com/ to find color schemes that go well with weird color combos like this one (pink and blue) or the one I did for you of Delilah (blue and purple). You can play with the little color wheel and get all kinds of combos that look good together, it's super useful when I'm stumped for colors. :3
Wow, powerful color scheme. Love the choice of burnt background! And that seductive pull-down... murr.
It's always interesting to see what colors inspire people... Sometimes I pull out a set of random watercolor pencils and try to build a palette around their muddy mixings... That, or steal colors from Bob Peak. Bob Peak, today's Bo Fransson piece, or any artist who was on 50watts this week. I'd love to know who people filch from... who do?
