Don't see a lot of possums 'eh?

Idk my friend and I both agree that we don't see many possums. I wish there was more, lol.

Too many people misunderstand and judge possums WAY too quick >< I've heard horrible things about them. but in my opinion they are amazing.

Like what? Stereotypical furry stuff or rodent-rabies stuff?
If there are any stereotypes on furry opossums (like.. foxes for example) I want to know

Like, Rodents and rabies type things. --> "Ew, possums are GROSS! They dig through garbage" "They're ugly, and vicious! And im pretty sure nearly ALL of them have rabies or some kind of disease." "RATS, is what they are. Filthy and flea ridden." <-- That's just a few. people are SO quick to judge, and frown upon many "rat" looking creatures. But rats are one of the most clean mammals I know of. Yet they o what they must to survive. With humans building into their homes, they're forced to steal, and rob to live. it's sad really..

I haven't heard of any Stereotype's for furry Opussums just yes.

Oh, I know!
I had pet rats. One lived up to four years, the other we had shortly because we didn't know she was pregnant (and gave birth to a dead litter, and died a few days later...).

I did some studying, too. Opossums rarely get rabies because they have such a high immune system

It is sad that they are forced to live around us. There has been at least three opossum roadkills in a half-mile radius of my house within the last month alone.

But we welcome squirrels and rats in our backyard, and my family has seen even opossums in the backyard before. It seems like a lot of sightings but they don't happen to often.

The ONLY thing kind of creepy about opossums is their pouch... It's not cute like a kangaroo, lol. It's like a flesh zipper on their belly
But that's about it.

I have a pet rat. her name is Angelus and she's white with a cream colored head. I love her. she likes to climb in my shirt it tickles so bad.

I welcome all animals it's sad though that there's been so many road kills. It's squirrels & birds here. They get hit/ran over ALOT. Plus cats too. People are CRUEL to cats in my neighborhood. It makes me SO MAD. If I catch people mistreating a cat, I'll confront them REAL quick. If they keep on or start to target me, people have had to pull me away, cuz I'll explode and try to fight them. :u

That's crazy - mine was white with a veeeery pale cream head, too. Her eyes looked partially albino; they were red in certain lights but mostly black. Her name was Sugar. Since the other one was also white, her name was Salt. Haha.

.. I know more cats in my neighborhood and area than I do its people... LOL. I know where all the cat hang-outs are around here. Fortunately people aren't too mean to them. In fact I know more people who feed, spay/neuter/release and help them rather than hurt them.
I have two cats myself, both who were once strays... And four dogs to go along... and a ferret... and some fish...

I wish people were more like where you are towards the cats. The people here are cruel. They'd bury them up their necks ALIVE, and run their head over. They'd kick them, tie fire works to their tail, throw them up in the air and hit them with bats like baseball, lite them on FIRE, and my brother killed a KITTEN with his bare hands. You can guess that when I heard what my brother did, quite a few people had to hold me back.

I wish I had a dog. But I can't have one. I wouldn't be able to afford it at the time >< I've wanted a ferret too. But like I said, I wouldn't be able to afford a pet other than my rat right now.

That's okay. Maybe one day another pet will enter your life
And yeah, I understand. There were *rumors* that the gym teacher for Driver's Ed at one of my high schools forced a student to drive over a kitten.
One of my cats was found as a kitten a year and a half ago. He was puny and skimpy, now he's fat
Rats are really cool pets though though not so fun when mine would pee on me but I must say the best part was freaking people out in telling them you have one then they realize how adorable they are with their big eyes
And yeah if that was my close relative that killed a kitten, or any animal, they better run. I mean actually run the hell away because I'd chase them and hurt them

Yeah, since rats don't have bladders, they pee where they are My rat STILL does it but it's okay, cuz it isn't her fault. They are really cool though. WHen we go for a car ride, she likes to stay in my shirt. My friend walked up (She hates rats) and I reached into my shirt, pulling her out. My friend hauled ass across the field. It's fun to sit in the car in the parking lot talkin' 'bout "Wanna see my rat?" or randomly pretend to freak out like; "ITS A RAT!! ITS IN MY SHIRT"

Oh he had to run. Lucky for HIM, people held me back. I have anger problems omg
