This is an image I've had floating around in my head for a while and I'm SO happy to finally be able to get it out! This is inspired by my real-life feline companion, Freyja -- a cat who can best be described as a diva or goddess but is really a precious jewel at heart. She is my girl, my shadow; everywhere I go, she follows right behind me, every time I turn around she is there. She is absolutely a mama's girl and loves to be touched, and even though she doesn't like to be held, she shows her affection in her own way and on her own terms (as any goddess worth her salt :P). But the moments I cherish the most, the moments I look forward to sharing with her every day come not while the sun is shining but after dark when we go to bed... My sweet little girl comes to me as I drift off to sleep (or while I do), meows ever so softly to let me know she's there, then curls up by the top of my head, presses her soft little furry body as close to me as possible, and purrs away until we both fall asleep together. Most nights she insists on being held close or sleeping on my hand, seeking that extra level of closeness and comfort that warms my heart every single night. I love this cat dearly and cherish every press of her nose into my arm, every curl of her paws into my hand; the special bond this precious little girl shares with me touches my heart in a way that makes me melt as much as I know she does when she cuddles up to me at night. This image is for Freyja -- my fluffy little love bug! ^_^
