Koda and Brother bears belongs to Disney.
As the sun rise the next day Rutt and Tuke was first to wake up, using the time to get up and take a look at their surroundings.
While doing that Koda was starting to wake up as well, and as soon as he open his eyes Koda couldn’t believe what he saw. His belly that he got so big and round during yesterdays night, still looked just as big today. Things got even weirder when he put his paws on it and could feel that it wasn’t as full and heavy as of before, but more empty and lighter now. (To explain to everyone the berries Koda had been eaten last night had been having an Air Inflation effect on him, as of now while the food inside had been digested the berries had made sure that all the air that had been swallowed as well had stayed inside of him.) While Koda felt this was really strange he was still happy that his midsection weighed less so he could be able to move again. He could still feel his belly scratching the ground as he walked, but it wasn’t as much of an obstacle as of before.
When he finally managed to catch up to the moose’s he asked them what to do now. “We have been talking for a long time now about what to do.” Rutt said. “And we have so far not been able to decided what exactly we should do.” Tuke added. “You see, I think we should try to find the river and then walk along it until we find the rest of the pack.” Rutt said. “And I want us to go up to the top of the high mountains to get a better view of the area.” Tuke added. “So we thought this when you came, could you decide what we should do?” Rutt asked Koda.
"I think we should walk along the river." Koda said. "See, I told you that it is the smartest move to make." Tuke said to Rutt, who just tried to ignore him. "My plan was just as good as yours, it was all decided by the kid." Rutt tried to defend. "But still, the kid choose me." Tuke said proud of for once winning an argument.
Not wanting to waist any more time Rutt and Tuke and Koda made their way to nearby laying river. Once there they reached another problem. "Which way are we suppose to go now?" The moose’s asked each other, expecting the other one to have the answer. "I know." The heard Koda say. "You do?" Tuke said. "Then tell us." Rutt added. "I got to learn that salmon always swim upwards against the stream, which makes it much easier for bears to catch it. If we just follow the stream the same way the salmon does, that way we should meet another bear in no time." Koda explained. Both moose’s was very surprised by the knowledge that this small cub had in him, and they decided to do as he said and walk against the stream.
As they where walking alongside the river Koda suddenly spotted something. It was a small bush that was carrying some berries, but unlike the once that Koda had been eating before that had been red this ones where lightly green. Koda was on his way to run up and taste them, when his inflated stomach made him trip over onto his back. The moose’s where quick to get to him, and asked him if he was all right. "Yes, but i need to get up, I need to taste those berries!" Koda said and was trying to quickly get up, which only made it harder for him. "Take it easy little cub. Are you sure those are the berries you ate before?" Rutt asked. "I don't know, I don't remember." Koda answered sadly. "Then I think we should let one of us test them, just to be sure." Tuke said to Koda. "I agree completely with you Tuke, so I suggest you do it." Rutt said, and started pushing Tuke towards the bush from behind him. "Wait, I do it?!" Tuke said surprised. "I'm so glad we are at an agreement again Tuke, now be nice and help this poor cub." Rutt said and pushed him all the way to the bush.
Once there Rutt took and run back to Koda (Who was still on his back) and looks on at Tuke standing right next to the bush with the green berries. "I-I have a bad feeling about this." Tuke said a bit scared. "Come on now, do it for the kid!" Rutt shouted back at him. "O-Okay." Tuke said before he got his head really close to one of its branches filled with berries, and took a big bite of it. He gave it some quick chews and then swallowed it. "How does it taste?" Rutt asked. "Well," Tuke said while feeling the after taste. "It tastes a bit..."
Kenai's story.
After waking up Kenai had a quick breakfast before walking off into the woods. He had the whole day to try and Koda before it was getting dark again. He knew that Koda probably could survive on his own one night, but could he survive two? He didn't want to wait to find out.
As he started his search he thought about how he should do his searching. He knew that if he just started searching randomly throughout the forest he would probably never find him. No, what he needed to do was to try and think like Koda. "Where would he want to go that is far away from where I am right now?"
As he continue to wander through the woods he started to try and see through his environment more like a real bear would. By focusing more on smell then sight Kenai could feel the scent of bear in both the air and in the things around him. He had also learnt that all bears had their own unique smell. All he had to do was to try and remember how Koda smelled.
Finally Kenai's research lead him to the place where Koda had last night been having his late night eating. His scent was all over the place and it felt fresh. Kenai could also see small claw marks on the trees that was made by a bear cub, and the bushes looked pretty rough and scratched at the bottom while perfectly fine at the top. "Wow, ever since becoming a bear i have really developed an eye for details." Kenai though, while searching.
While searching further he saw a small hole at the bottom of one of the bushes that looked like it had been made through claws and biting. "This must be where Koda came in." Kenai thought, before seeing something that made him really worried again. "But what is this?" He asked himself as he found some of the bushes had been crushed like something big had been walking through them. (Rutt and Tuke) "And whatever it was, it seems like it has been dragging poor Koda down towards the river." He thought as he started to run of himself down towards the river. "They can't have gone far so just hang out Koda, I'm coming!" Kenai though as he made his way.
