Daring Do and Ahuizotl as characters belongs to The Hub.
Daring Do was on once again another quest for hidden treasures. That had grown to become the mainstay of her life, seeking the thrill to risk her life, and discovering treasures and places that many ponies had though of was lost forever. The more rarer and harder to find, the better for her.
She was now on the hunt for a treasure that was said to be hidden in the same temple she had been in before that had contained the Sapphire Stone. She had found out on some ancient scripts on a ancient scroll that she had bought from a sneaky looking salesman, that next to the big main entrance of the temple laid a secret entrance that would lead whoever entrance it to treasures to their wildest dreams. At first Daring Do had thought that it seemed a bit weird for the treasure to lay in the same temple she had been in earlier and not seen it, but some deeper thinking made her realize that the best way to hide something would be to place it at the same place as something else, but only further away. "That means that once somepony takes what they think is the main treasure (The Sapphire Stone), they then leave the temple and therefore never thinks that there is something even more valuable hidden deeper down." Daring Do thought to herself. She might just have uncovered what will become her biggest reward yet.
Once outside the very familiar temple Daring Do took her time to look out for any attackers. One reason she didn't like returning to places she's already been to was because of the risk of some of the once who built it might be guarding it now, looking after in case the one who stole from them might return. But luckily for her the place seemed to be deserted. The temple was just like she had remembered. Big and tall and looking very intimidating. She rechecked the scroll, which told her to look for a special marked panel in the wall right next to the right side of the main entrance. She walked over there, but couldn't seem to find this panel at first. Looking at it she saw that there was some ivy that had been growing over some of it. Putting 2 and 2 together Daring Do took and brushed the ivy of to reveal a square panel in the wall with a symbol decrypting "Danger for anyone who enters beyond here". "Isn't it always?" Daring Do thought to herself, as she started to look for the building stone that hold the key to opening it. Knowing by experience she know that the one to press to open the door usually aren't more then 3 steps apart from the door itself, and this was no exception. With a forced push of the stone Daring Do heard a clicking noise coming from inside, and the stone door opens up.
"Piece of cake." Daring Do said cocky to herself as she made her way inside the opening. The only minor problem with it is that it is a very small opening, and she had to be forced to crawling if she wanted to enter. Not that she wasn't experienced with crawling narrow tunnels, but it was one of the few thing in her adventure life that she never really could get used to. There was something about being trapped into a small tight place with barley any room to move or any way to get out that really send shivers to the daring mare. Still if she wanted to get the treasure she had to start doing the hard parts as well.
As she started crawling and was completely inside she could her noise coming from behind her, and from the corner of her eye she could see the door closing behind her and cutting out her only source of light. "Great, just great." She said annoyed, having this happen to her some times before. Now she was left to just continue forward in the dark.
She continued crawling further in feeling how she was going deeper and deeper down the earth, as the ground around her was going from the hard rocks of the temple to the more soft and wet earth.
She had to have crawled for at least 5 minutes straight now, and still with no clear sign of any exits. Being underground was a very strange experience having all the walls around her being so soft by all the water they where keeping, and still she could feel a very warm breeze in the air she got further. "Must be close to the exit. Finally!" Daring Do thought as she started to crawl faster, wanting nothing more then to leave this tunnel.
As she got closer to the source of the heat she could feel the small environment becoming even more strange. The ground she was crawling on was really wet, and felt like it was almost...alive?! Yes, it felt like she was crawling on top of a big wet worm thing. The heat source itself was also starting to not feel the same, as Daring Do could swear the heard sounds coming from down there. Sounds that almost sound like something...breathing. Before she had a chance to know what was going on she could feel the roof collapse onto her, and pinning her against the big worm thing. She could feel the worm starting to move like crazy around her, making sure to feel and rub itself on every single part of her body. After that she could feel how the walls of the tunnel was taking a hold of her, and was actually starting to drag her down into the heat source. Feeling how things got even tighter around her, Daring Do knew that there was nothing she could do but to just go along with it. After another minute of being pulled even further down she could feel her head being squeezed into a very small passage, and on the other side she was surprised to find it being a lot more roomier then anything else. It was still very cramped inside and she could only be in a curled up position, but she could move around a little bit.
This place however didn't have any other ways to go, so she was pretty much trapped now. She wondered what kind of weird cave she had ended up in, when suddenly the whole thing started to shake! Being inside this small space didn't allow Daring Do to get moved by the shakings herself, but the small cavern itself was moving in a rocking way. Almost like she was in a sack hanging from a rope, (Something she had been experiencing as well.) but much more moist.
Suddenly she heard a voice coming from outside the walls saying "So Daring Do, nice of you to drop in here.". She knew that voice all to well. "Ahuizotl!" She shouted, trying to make her voice break through the thick walls. "I had some trouble catching that, but I assume that you just said my name." The Aztec monster said, just as flamboyant as always. "Where are you? Where have you taken me?!" Daring Do shouted, banging her hooves at the walls trying to break them. "Oh, but don't you see? You are inside me." Ahuizotl said dramatically.
Daring Do felt her whole world shatter as he said it. She had seen clear sings on it before, but she just didn't believe (Or maybe didn't want) it to be true. She knew that Ahuizotl had very big jaws, (and could probably eat her without any problem if he would want to.) but actually being in his insides just felt like something she thought would never happen to her. She just curled up even tighter, hoping it was all just a horrible dream. "B-But how? How did you...?" She asked weakly, with Ahuizotl suddenly unknowingly answering for her.
"You might wonder how I managed to pull of such a simple but brilliant scheme?" He asked while rubbing his bloated stomach. "I simply one day realized that if my jaws are big enough to swallow Crocodiles and Rhinos, then they should also be able to swallow a small treasure stealing pony!" Saying the last words made him angry, and he slapped his stomach to make it shake around the pony inside of it. "When it came to planning it was surprisingly easy. Just make a fake treasure map, have it lead to a small secret tunnel, put my jaws around the exit part, and then just wait and let you do all the job. But I have to admit I might have been a bit to excited to taste you before letting you go completely inside, but it was all worth it." He said licking his lips of the wonderful taste Daring Do had been giving his tongue. "And don't you worry about it becoming boring in there, I have been practicing having large meals a lot so you will probably be digested in only a couple of minutes." He said before deciding to take a nap.
Inside Daring Do felt like this was not at all the way she intended to go. She imagined herself getting taken out by a poisonous dart, or by a temple trap. Becoming lunch for her arch nemesis seemed a bit more humiliating way for her to die.
Feeling like all hope was gone she felt something familiar in one of her shirt pockets, and remember something from her past. She remembers back to when she had been spying on Ahuizotl, in a way to see if there was anything about him that she could use against him if she ever got into a tight spot. She had seen him walking with his henchmen when he suddenly saw something that made him stop dead in his track. "Take those away!" He said and pointed at some plants growing in front of him. "Those are Red Dragon flowers, and I just can't stand them! If I even by mistake got one of those on my tongue I think I would start to hurl." He said dramatically as always, while his henchmen started to drag them up from the ground and throw them aside. "Why can't he just walk around them instead of having us drag them up?" One henchman complained to the other, who just said "He's very paranoid, but he's also the boss so stop complaining or you might become his lunch." Looking at Ahuizotl's big jaws was enough for the henchman to stop complaining and go back to his work. When they where done they tossed the flowers over to the side of the jungle trail, and continued their walk. After they had left Daring Do walks up to the tossed aside flowers and puts some of them in her pockets. "I might have good use for them later." She said to herself.
And that later was now, as she came back to reality she could feel that Ahuizotl's stomach acids was starting to do it's work on her. Quickly she started to look into her pockets and found a bunch of Red Dragon flowers. "My original plan was to toss one of these into his mouth if he got to close to me. I just hope these things works even inside of his stomach." Daring Do thought as she started to rub the plants onto the stomach walls, hoping for it to have some effect. She could feel how the air inside of her prison was starting to fade away, and how she herself was starting to lose her conscious. "If this doesn't work soon I will die." Daring Do thought, and at just that moment something seemed to finally happen.
There was violent shaking going around in the stomach, and she could feel how the muscles inside was starting to force anything that was inside up and out of it. Daring Do knew this was her ticket out as she started to press herself into the small opening. Just like last time it was pretty tight, and she was being pressed through it like toothpaste in a tube. Only this time she was headed towards some place she wanted to reach. The exit.
For Ahuizotl this was a pretty uncomfortable wakeup call as he was being woken up by the feelings of him starting to barf. No matter how much he would love to keep what he had inside, there was no stopping it from coming up. Before having a chance to think he open his mouth out widely to throw up the adventures Pegasus from his inner chamber. After getting her and the flowers out of his system he collapsed on the floor, panting heavily. For Daring Do this was the first time in a while when she had seen the sky and sunshine again. Getting up on her somewhat sleeping legs Daring Do looked around to see that Ahuizotl must have moved around since eating her since they where not in the temple any more, but instead somewhere in the jungle in the shadows under a large tree. "At least you seemed to have chosen a very good spot for resting after eating." She said, looking over at Ahuizotl laying down, holing his stomach to ease the pains. "So that's why I will take and leave you alone, you don't seem to feel very well." She said before running of.
As she did Ahuizotl looked down on the ground, and saw thrown up Red Dragon flowers and immediately understood how she had managed to escape from what he thought was an impossible situation. Feeling more furious then sick for a moment he look up at the escaping Daring Do, and shouted. "You might have escaped my stomach this time, but with your wonderful taste I will send you back there again. And this time I'm planning on keeping you there!"
