September 19-20th, I'll be going to Toonfest in Marceline, MO to meet famous cartoonists. I'll have 2 original comic strips on display, and will be promiscuous with my sketching. I've ordered these business cards to help promote my comic, and I decided to leave space for a little sketch! These are all my sketches so far, which I did on my lunch break. I will eventually settle for a more standard sketch, but I'm definitely having fun with these. The sketch on the bottom was done to test the viability of sketching on such a small surface. The size isn't limiting at all! If you're going to Toonfest, ask me for a sketch or a card! I'll be the one wearing a shiny Gilligan-style hat(a.k.a. a "bucket hat") and carrying around a sketchbook advertising KennyChronicles.com
For my standard sketch, I want him to be wearing a name tag to signify retail humor. The clouds were a standard template from VistaPrint. It works well, especially with that white sketch area. The metal case makes an EXCELLENT drawing surface and barely takes up any space in my pocket. I opted to pay $2 to have a blank back instead of the VistaPrint logo, just for professionalism. The logo isn't obtrusive, but for $2, I'm happy to leave it off.
With shipping, blank-back and case, 250 cards cost me $12.90.
