He's worth knowing. Quiet and rather self-effacing much of the time, but he's got a fierce sense of compassion. If something's wrong he'll make noise about it.

He's fanfic basically, a Stan Sakai "Usagi Yojimbo" minor character whose story haunted me enough to want to keep him around in my head. I imagine him reborn into a new and (so far at least) safer life a few centuries later. He's happy and at peace but still remembers that past existence and what befell him and his family and neighbors. He's not forgetting what it's like to be at the sharp end of powerful people's games.

And btw, he seems to be over the umbrella thing.
