As I had mentioned in your commission from Winged Ham-Ham, I do believe the renditions done for you by the talented artists on here make for wonderful cartoon characters. Not like today's mind you, but like the fun-loving ones back in the day.

Thanks! That's my character in a nutshell (no pun intended), though he does occasionally get moody, but that's not too often. Yes, I really like the characters that were in older animations. While all the CGI nowadays is awesome, it seems like the characters don't have the depth in personality/character and there is just something nice about the hand drawn characters back in the day.

I agree. Hand drawn characters seemed so much more vibrant and full of life all around to me. Furthermore, not to say anything against CGI artists, but I think there's a special magic that can only be given to a character when the entire project is done by hand. I feel you lose some of that when you rely on technology to "tweak" things up.

One area I will say works out cool is when CGI is incorporated in hand drawn animation. Some of effects that can be done to enhance situations or shading is simply spectacular. I believe they have done this in the latter Land Before Time movies.
