Shiro's full backstory. ((updated 8-april-2015))
It was a nice and beautiful autumn night in a large town in times long past. There lived a purely white haired woman with bright blue eyes, she lived in a rather large castle with her family, but she seemed a bit of the ‘’oddball’’, the outcast as one would say. There were a few unique features to her body other than the bright, snowy white hair though she would have yet to discover. She would seemingly always be kept inside the castle against her wishes by her family, seeing she didn’t know how to defend herself when needed be. She was tall and slender, a well formed woman and seemingly proud to be so. She seemed to be loved by the staff and her family that wanted to keep their only daughter safe and sound. The young woman herself however seemed to love nature and it’s creatures a lot as well, seeming as she would always be out in the castle’s garden and even into the forest nearby if a guard were to accompany her. At one point however she seemed to witness a rather large, pure black, magnificent feline creature walk by, far off in the distance.
It appeared to be a pure Black Panther that somehow had found the forest behind the castle as its new hunting grounds. As the guard quickly escorted the woman back into the castle she couldn’t seem to help herself from wanting to see more of the creature. Once back inside she asked her family if she could go find this strange, and to her unknown creature. They however denied her any further access to the forest from that point on and was only confined to the gardens. She however would not let it rest like that, and on that particular night she snuck out of her room. Slipping past the guards through some of the secret rooms and passage ways the castle held and made it out into the forest alone. As she walked alone under the bright, full moon and the star’s light. Her pure white hair and silky skin almost shined with the reflection bouncing off of her.
After a while she didn’t seem to have noticed how far off from the castle she had become and started to try and make her way back home. Having the castle in sight finally at one point, she suddenly stopped at the sight of two bright yellow eyes, glowing in the darkness of the night under a tree right in front of her. She gasped lightly as it appeared to be the pure Black Panther whom she had been looking for. The panther however seemed to have a completely different idea as he started to approach the woman with the white hair. Up until the large feline began to bare his fangs she hadn’t considered to think of the dangers with such a large animal. She suddenly jumped back, but the panther seemed only interested in a scent the woman gave off. It would appear that the panther had picked up on just how extraordinary her body would be and jumped onto her with his large claws extended. Pinning her down to the ground and seeming to strip her in an almost brutal way of clothing to first confirm the scent she gave off.
Indeed it appeared so to the panther that he could rather roughly mate with the woman, and soon so was done. The Black Panther left the woman alone on the ground after having had his way with her. The woman left alone and broken, yet unknown that her body would create new creatures, unknown to her and those around. Slowly she made her way back into the castle, managing to do so without being spotted at that though left without any clothes. She locked herself in her room for several days to hide the bruises, bite and claw marks she had gotten in the process. After the marks had disappeared she would show herself again, though seemed like a changed person. She stayed caring about nature and its creatures, but she was more hesitant and afraid of anything bigger than the dogs she kept around the castle. Her days after however seemed never the same in the castle as she started to feel sick in the morning and started to get mood swings, her weight gaining as she started to eat more and more. The servants started talking amongst themselves though even her family asked if she had spent the night with a man. Each time she truthfully answered but had yet to figure out her body had become pregnant from the Black Panther.
After about a month and a halve she noticed she would no longer get her period anymore, seeing to start suspecting the reason she was feeling strange and even her stomach had started to expand. She started to freak out at first, almost losing her mind over the next month as she kept herself from the public and her family as well. Only her personal maid and caretaker would be allowed in the room and was entrusted with her pregnancy, though even she found it weird how fast the growth seemed. Her family got more and more worried about the woman the less they saw her and at the point of four months into pregnancy it already looked like she was near her final trimester. A week later however her father decided to finally take action and demanded an explanation as he stood before the closed door with raging fists. Not too long after she ordered the maid to open the door and let her family inside and when they saw the young woman she bursted out into tears, telling them what had happened.
They were shocked at the story, and even more so at the fact she had become pregnant by the creature. Though they clearly did not approve, they would wait for the child or children to be born before making any rash decisions. Everyone in the castle was notified of the matter and was told to keep it a secret to the outside world. If word got out their only daughter could be mated with other species than humans it might prove to be a problem, she would become a target for those wanting to abuse this strange gift. About two weeks later, it would appear the night had come. It was just passed midnight on a cold, winter night and the woman’s water had broken. Scream could be heard throughout the castle as the highly pregnant woman started to go into labor. At least four month’s too soon according to the doctors and healers though she had clearly reached the size of someone pregnant of at least two children and over her third trimester. After a long and exhausting night the first child was born. It appeared to be a somewhat large baby boy with a black tail and large feline ears. Strangely enough he already had a good amount of hair on his head and soft, black furr to cover his ears and tail.
They thought to be done, but soon after a second, much smaller child would be born. Another child, seemingly female by gender, and like its mother had pure, snowy white hair. And like its larger brother feline ears and a tail. After the woman finally calmed down again and regained herself, while the children had been treated with care they were given to their mother who seemed to be rather proud for some reason. It seemed immediately however, that the family of the woman wanted the children away from her. Seeming as they would clearly give away the origin of their nature, seeming the woman’s ability to breed with other species. The woman however wouldn’t let them, seeming as she had decided to keep and raise the young twins. One small and pure, the other large, strong willed and somewhat more evil. They were given their name, according to their colors, plain and simple. The small white girl was named Shiro, and the larger, stronger boy named Kuro. The young, frail little girl however, Shiro, was far more sensitive to any, physical touch. The nerve endings in her body would later appear to be twice as many as that of her brother, or any normal human. Shiro held bright blue eyes with a golden circle around the pupil, and Kuro who had simply, pure red eyes.
However, the woman and her children were confined to the castle grounds and only to her room if visitors were to come to the castle. She didn’t seem to mind it that much however as she enjoyed and protected the two young creatures with her life. As they slowly started to grow and learn it was clear the small white child was far more gentle than her brother. Both in body and mindset shy, small and easily frightened where his larger brother would instinctively protect the small Shiro, even as babies. Long before they could walk they were crawling, even running around on both hand and feet in a more feline manner than anything else but slowly continued to grow like normal human children, despite their ears and tails. As they learned to stand and speak even the family started to get more and more worried. They knew they needed to rid themselves of the two infants now they still could. The nightfall had come, and exactly a year after their birth the two young creatures were to be taken away from their mother in secret. The family waited till they all slept, and as usual it appeared the two youngsters slept at their mother’s side, like usual the small white creature had been curled up within the stronger and almost protective hold of his bigger twin brother.
They had made sure neither of them would be woken as the food and water had been drugged with a sleep inducing herb that only seemed to grow in their garden. The mother would be left alone in the bed, while the two youngsters were taken apart from each other and transported, several countries over. They were placed into an adoption home, the largest in that country and split apart. Shiro was placed in the girl’s quarters, because of her gender ofcourse. It seemed to be no problem at this point, while Kuro ended up in the boy’s quarters, being raised separately from that point on with the intent they would never meet. The two youngsters would seemingly have a hard live ahead of them as it appeared, directly that no-one would be willing to adopt the two half breeds. As the years passed by Shiro would have become a rather easy target for the stronger girls. Beatings and threatening words shouted at the small creature on a daily basis. Even the adults, meant to keep the peace and raise the children didn’t seem to care much for Shiro or her brother, and as they slowly kept living and growing the adults were to make sure the two were never in contact.
Fearing that they would be far stronger as a unit than alone. It would take years and years as the two young creatures continued to slowly grow up in the large building, separate from each other though so close apart. The only thing that would keep Shiro going at times was the feeling that he in fact was not alone, rather than the terrors of the other girls. The girls clearly had it out for the young Shiro, as they seemed to resent her for appearing to have the boyish looks and the ears and tail. Often her hair or furr would be cut, even shaved off while none of the parental figures around would seem willing to interfere. The large room that held the beds for the girls was filled with girls though some beds were empty. Shiro however wouldn’t be allowed to sleep on a bed by the other girls, as she was forced to sleep in the hall closet. He had managed however to make a small den like structure inside, made out of old rags, pillows and blankets. It was the only place she could feel safe in and tend to the bruises and wounds he received from the tougher girls. Only she had the key that locked the door from the inside and outside so none could bother her once he was inside.
This seemed to continue for Shiro for years. Always it seemed the young creature ended up with the scraps for clothes and the last bits of food, just barely enough to sustain the small creature. Her utterly sensitive feline ears could often pick up conversations in the other room if she so wished. Hearing hurtfully words being spoken about her though he could also hear they appeared to be jealous for some reason he clearly seemed unable to understand. Jalousie for her feline features somehow it appeared at that, the very thing they tormented her about. Also for her mixed appearance, easily mistaken for either a boy or girl, depending on how one looked at the matter. Though unknown to Shiro, they envied her for the beautiful looks he inherited from her mother, though was continuously called ugly, freak and things in that trend she couldn’t believe any words to the contrary. At one day however, she heard the girls talk about something she couldn’t believe at first and jump out of her hiding place to clearly hear it. What the girls talked about, appeared to be the rumor of another creature, much like herself.
A soft gasp was heard from the hall and the girls could hear it and quickly opened the door to see Shiro shooting off yet again. They caught her however just before she could escape back into his safe place and was left alone with some new bruises and cuts to her furr and hair. The very next day however Shiro managed to get into the orphan home’s office and spoke to the owner. After a little while he decided to tell Shiro a little about herself against better judgement, and the other she had heard about. The owner told Shiro that she was the offspring of a woman with pure white hair and an animal, a panther to be exact. And that she and his twin brother where brought in the orphan home and to be split from each other after they got there. Shiro could barely believe her ears at the words of family it seemed and though he started to ask about his parents, the owner would not give out anything else. Shiro was granted permission to transfer to the boy’s quarter’s from then on and quickly went to her private place to gather up her things. Not many it seemed as only a few of the old, raged clothes where brought with the small, young creature as she moved over to the other side of the building. A place where he had never been before and as he stood before the boy’s bedroom she gulped in fear.
What if they were to bully her there away as well, or worse from what the girls did to her, where would she go from then? She thought to herself for a few moments before slowly opening, and slipping through the door. As she closed the door again and watched the room, she instantly noticed that all eyes, of all the boys in sight where focused on her and her alone at that point. She started to tremble in fear and suspected pillows, or heavier things to be thrown her way but all that remained was quietness. Not a single word was said, as she would soon figure out as to why. Slowly, and without a word Shiro continued to move further into the boy’s bedroom to try and find herself a place to sleep, until she suddenly saw someone standing at the very end of the bedroom. A large, dark figure with a white skin, very much like her own but somehow more tanned, and what she noticed than as the boy turned around where the ears and tail. A loud gasp would be heard from Shiro and the boy looked curiously at Shiro. Instantly realizing Shiro was more like him than he yet knew, but seemed to instantly feel their connection light up again like it had in the days they were together as babies.
Shiro began to well up with tears and let go off all the things she held which clearly didn’t seem much. Rushing off to the larger twin brother who stood a little baffled at the moment but soon realized what was going on and quickly grabbed hold of the small white creature, pulling her into a tight, tender hug while Shiro cried in the reunion. Shiro soon after she had calmed down told the boy what she had heard from the orphanage’s owner and knew he had spoken the truth now she was reunited with her brother. Their tails intertwined as Kuro introduced himself a bit to his smaller sister Shiro, though the deal had been made with the owner that Shiro where to act, and keep on a male appearance to stay with her brother in the boy’s dormitories. This was a rather easily made deal since Shiro was easily mistaken for a young boy, finally something she held in favor of herself. Meanwhile Shiro started to notice that none of the other boys in the sleeping hall had said but a single word about what they had seen, seeming that even the ones, years older than they were seemed afraid to open their mouths. After Kuro gave the boy’s around a dismissive nod he smiled and picked up the small Shiro, carrying her over to his own sleeping area in the darkest part of the sleeping room.
It appeared that Kuro had taken over four mattresses, piled up onto two beds who stood side by side and the matrasses overlapping each other. He laid the young Shiro on bed and crawled in a comforting manner onto the bed with her as they talked all night about how they had lived. Growling and snarling noises where heard throughout the entire bedroom as Shiro told about the things that had happened to her in the girls bedrooms. Each time such an angry noise escaped Kuro’s lips the boy’s in the room trembled in fear, the same happened to Shiro and as Kuro noticed such he quickly muffled the noises. After Kuro would tell that he used to be bullied as well, but made that rather soon come to an end. His fierce fighting with his beast like strength, claws and fangs struck fear in all the boys and had sworn their loyalty to Kuro in return for their own safety. Even the parents and the owner seemed to fear Kuro, and the only reason that Shiro was now told about Kuro was that he had hoped that Shiro would be a means to keep Kuro calm. As the night came closer and closer while they talked till it seemed that slowly Shiro fell asleep in Kuro’s tender hold, and for the very first time since all those years she had started to purr once again.
As Shiro slept Kuro continued to watch over the young creature, seeming as Shiro slept far longer than any other when he was in a safe environment. The next day after they woke, Shiro’s life seemed to get far better than she had ever imagined it to be ever before. As he woke, she would notice her brother had left the bed already. Though at the notice he came back with a plate it would appear her brother held lunch for them, seeming it had become rather late at that already. They quickly ate and Kuro started to explain more about his life and how he gotten the ‘’top’’ position in the boy’s dorm, basically controlling everything. It appeared that in his case, he used his feline traits as a strength, instead of Shiro who was bullied for them. The flexibility, the sharp claws and fangs, and even his animal like strength won him every fight and brought fear to even the adults.
The only thing he could not control however, was the fact that he was also still forced to stay in the phoster home until adopted. He however simply wished to leave, to live on his own and now, reunited with his twin sister that had created the perfect opportunity. After a few month’s had passed it seemed Kuro and Shiro had gotten as close as can be and became almost inseparable. Kuro than shared with Shiro his plans, and means to escape. Shiro seemed rather hesitant at that, knowing that she had become rather comfortable with her big brother helping around. Though she trusted Kuro and the next night they would escape the adoption home. Shiro went extra early to bed that night, along with Kuro, however Kuro seemed able to wake himself at will at times. Just past midnight, when everyone was sound asleep Shiro would feel her brother’s soft shakes to her body and slowly awoke. With softly rubbing her eyes Shiro looked around in the dark room to her big brother and softly nodded in silence. They had come up with a plan as to how to escape from the orphanage without waking others. After they had snuck out of the boy’s dormitory and taking only a few blankets and the rags of clothes they were given they quietly ran through the hallway.
Seeming with their feline nature, being quick and silent was no problem. As they snuck past the office part where the adult ‘caretakers’ slept, they made it to the kitchen area and as Kuro had learned before, found the hidden key to the kitchen. He knew where the food and supplies where being delivered, and was the only place not guarded at night. Along with the few belongings they brought, Kuro decided to take plenty of food, to last them at least a week as they snuck out of the backdoor. They ran, as fast as they could for several miles and even as children they could run far faster than any human could it would appear due to their feline nature. After they had made it to the next village, only a few miles out they finally rested, but knew they would still have to travel further if they wished never to return. They decided to rest however and seemed to take shelter in some abandoned, small shack that would just barely be large enough for the two to curl up and sleep in. It would appear the two slept till noon before they finally woke up once more and quickly ate before they traveled further away from the orphanage once more.
It seemed they traveled for another two days, while sleeping mostly in trees and hidden away in cave’s before they finally found a large, deserted and old house like building. The once white paint on the outside was slowly falling off the wooden walls of the two story high building. A brown roof and even a balcony, seeming that this house once must have been from rich people by their standards. Yet rather unknown about their own heritage and birthrights. A small spring laid directly against the house, providing fresh water and a forest about a mile south while several vegetation’s grew around the abandoned house. It seemed as if they had stumbled upon an oasis of luxury, freedom and a happy life after they had entered the old, abandoned home. As they came in however they both seemed rather surprised at the size and room they would have, though certainly would have to clean first. Placing down whatever little belongings they had before starting to clean up. Seeming to find even old furniture still intact though at times they wondered if the house would hold up from the old age it seemed to have.
A few days later the two young hybrids seemed to have completely settled in, finding it to be their ideal living place they could ever imagine. Plenty of space to play, run around and chase after the wild rabbits and hare’s, water to drink and some fruits, berries and even vegetables they could eat. However it seemed not enough at times as they would also need bread, meat and rice and soon learned a village laid only a mile away from their home. After a little while the two younglings had decided to go over to the village and try to get some of the food they needed, even clothes if possible. Though once there, the disapproving looks came over the two small creatures once more, especially Shiro seemed to be the easy target for angry or drunk villagers. Kuro however seemed to be afraid of no such thing, and when one of the village drunks swung out at Shiro, landing a swat with the back of his hand on the small child’s face, it’s when Kuro snapped. It seemed to have the true beast of a panther within the young, black hybrid whose eyes began to glow brightly and started to snarl.
He swung out with the extended, razor-sharp claws at the man’s face but got back to reality just quick enough to retract the claws. His swing continued however and send the man flying back a few feet, leaving him knocked out in the mud. Seeing that Kuro had just in time taken counter measures he would have otherwise have sliced open the man’s skull, most likely killing the man instantly even as the young, twelve year old he was. Still snarling Kuro walked up to the man and firmly landed a kick to his side, hearing a few rib’s break at that. Luckily it was already a bit later and most of the villagers had already gotten inside for the night to come. Kuro quickly stole the man’s pouch, holding some of the local currency and quickly shot off to Shiro again. Shiro however seemed to have been sitting on the ground after the man had swung his hand to the small, frail young little hybrid and stared a bit in disbelieve at her brother who approached her. It took him about a minute to get back to the sense of reality and finally took hold of her brother’s hand as she was pulled up on her feet. Bursting out in tears and falling in her brother’s arms she cried for a few moments. After that however the two went off to a shop, being able to purchase two hooded cloaks and some foods and currency that would be accepted in other places.
Once home they decided never to go back to that certain village, together at least as Kuro knew now how to get hold of money. They also agreed that it would be best for their own good, to hide their feline features in public with the hooded cloaks. A little while after they decided to go and visit other villages. Though Kuro seemed to have gotten a taste of stealing from another, seeming he wanted more to take better care of his small, little sister Shiro. The two seemed to share a certain bond that was beyond family, almost as if they were lovers at times though seemed to be rather unknowingly of it. Shiro and Kuro both knew how incredibly different they were from each other. Both in personality, body and sex. Kuro seemed to have rather easily figured out however what both their genders where meant for, though kept it hidden from the young Shiro, only to tease his smaller sister at times with nibbles, licks and gentle rubs at the youngling’s upper body. Kuro had long ago found out how utterly sensitive Shiro’s ears, tail and especially the neck were and knew exactly how to manipulate them. Even light bites to Shiro’s neck especially would cause for the small, white hybrids full submission. Leaving him at times with soft girlish moans in her brother’s hold. Never however it seemed to become anything more than teasing playfulness between the two, though who knows how things had ended if they were older.
As the two young hybrids seemed to slowly find their place in the world, together in their home it seemed life would still get harder for the two at times. Food became less around and easy to get to, especially in the winters and Kuro seemed to find it far more necessary to go to village’s alone, coming back with far too much than he could afford. Shiro seemed far too trustworthy of her big brother to suspect him of stealing, if she did Shiro would never have approved. Almost a year had passed now, the two young creatures living still happily together in the old house which seemed to slowly get fixed up by the twin’s effort. Slowly but surely Kuro had been bringing home far more valuable goods, though kept them hidden away from the world and Shiro. Kuro seemingly wanted a better future for them though had no other way but to steal at this time. The villager’s however seemed to have taken notice to now more than just food gone missing, each time the black furred and haired boy would have been through the village.
They quickly started to suspect the young, male hybrid of stealing and would apparently come together, planning to set a trap. One day, about a week after the villager’s had been plotting together the young twins would come to the village. Both Shiro and Kuro always seemed to get somewhat foul looks thrown at them, though Shiro didn’t seem to bother as much anymore, seeming her large, strong brother protected her. Kuro however would often growl or hiss loudly if something didn’t seem right, especially at the foul looks. Kuro would however leave Shiro alone for a little while, seeming Shiro had found a few mice to chase after and quickly went into a large house, known to have many valuable belongings. As Kuro snuck in and grabbed some gold jewelry and other things of value, such a rich person wouldn’t miss he thought.
Then when he turned to escape the building again, several villager’s suddenly appeared from behind the couch, others from several doors that led to the room and it seemed the windows where shut tight, leaving no room to escape. Kuro began to loudly growl and roar, only like a large cat in danger would do. His claws extended and he showed his fangs clearly, as if they would have grown an inch. Though the villager’s came prepared with weapons of their own and a large net to throw over the young creature. They had managed to catch Kuro, though clearly didn’t come out unharmed with large cuts and bite marks, still bleeding as they started to drag Kuro out of the building. Shiro would have noticed the commotion by now, though seemed to have caught a few of the mice, one of them still dangling by the tail from Shiro’s mouth. The curious, small creature slowly came closer to the commotion and once he finally got past the small crowd he saw it, Kuro! Shiro’s mouth fell open at the sight of her brother being dragged away by a group of people, the mouse finding its freedom once more.
With her eyes starting to tear up Shiro ran over to her brother and began to pull the large net in which Kuro would still be, seeing as they were afraid to handle him with their bare hands. The large men didn’t even seem to bother at Shiro’s attempts other than telling her to run off somewhere. Though when they saw Kuro began to move again they stopped pulling the young, somewhat large creature away, allowing the two young pre-teens a goodbye. Crying Shiro held on to her brother, though Kuro knew all too well he had to say his goodbyes, if not he would drag the innocent little creature in it as well. Kuro told Shiro to go home, lying to his little sister that he would be back in a few days, though while caressing his little sisters cheek, whipping away some of the tears. He would also tell Shiro how to get food without his help, though knew he couldn’t tell Shiro where the gold and valuable’s where hidden, if he did Kuro figured he’d drag Shiro in it as well, something he absolutely didn’t want. After a rather long goodbye Kuro stood up within the net and let it slip off his lower body, seeming he had cut off the net while they spoke though didn’t run.
He couldn’t protect Shiro if he did, so he had to go with the men and find a way to escape on a later point. He offered both his hands up to the group of men, for them to bind and quickly snatched them up, not giving Kuro another chance to escape at that point, though had realized his weakness was his younger sister. Shiro stood there, crying her eyes out as he watched her brother being taken away from her. Though the villager’s would feel guilty, bad even at the fact they would leave the helpless little creature without her only family and protection, they didn’t even dare to touch the youngling, quickly disappearing from sight. It took a full hour before Shiro started to move again, seeing she took the entire day before she finally got home and collapsed on the bed. She was devastated and didn’t know how to go on all by himself at this point. It took Shiro a week before she finally had realized she truly had to live on her own from now on, the last of her food supply almost gone. Once Shiro finally seemed able to leave the house on her own again she went to the village, hoping to find some food and leftovers. Though unlike before when Shiro was with her beloved brother, Shiro would now be hearing the muttering words, people still showing her the foul looks it seemed. As suddenly however she heard something fly towards her and just barely managed to avoid the incoming, rotten tomato that was aimed at her head.
A soft whimpering was heard as the young creature looked at a couple of boys that had thrown the fruit at her. ‘’Freak’’ Shiro heard the boy’s calling out toward the young hybrid. Shiro seemed smaller than the other boy’s though was most likely a year or two older still. More rotten tomatoes seemed ready in the boy’s hands and Shiro quickly started to run, the boys trying to chase Shiro however. As Shiro had ran out of the village again it seemed he still had no food gathered, though knew she couldn’t return to the village anymore by now. By the time she had gotten home, to eat the last of the food that was left she heard several people closing in on the house. Her sharp, sensitive ears picking up on the rustling noises towards the previously abandoned house Shiro and Kuro had made their home in. With soft whimpering noises spilling from his lips Shiro moved upstairs to see better and noticed it where some of the stronger men from the village he had just visited.
Unaware of what they wanted Shiro hid upstairs in a somewhat dark corner and heard the large front door being kicked down, along with the back and kitchen doors. A startled squeak was heard from the young creature each time as she trembled in fear. She could hear the loud noises of furniture being broken and thrown around downstairs, apparently in attempt to find something or someone. Loud cursing would be heard even and they started to move upstairs, calling out Shiro’s name which only caused more fear to rise in the small hybrids body. As Shiro still hid in a somewhat dark corner, behind the large, home-made bed he watched the group of seven rather large, strong men coming up. Once they spotted Shiro they had a greedy grin on their faces and slowly started to come closer, closing in on the young hybrid and tried to ‘’sweet-talk’’ her into coming over by herself. Clearly terrified however Shiro remained where he was for the moment, hoping they would simply let her go, but to no avail she watched in terror as they started to close in on her. ‘’Where’s yer brother’s treasure little Girrl…?’’ they asked several times as they closed in on the young hybrid.
Large, blunt objects and daggers in their hands, one seeming even more dangerous than the next. Driven in the corner between the wall and the bed Shiro shivered in fear. ‘’M-M-Meh d-d-don’t knows’’ she weakly replied but of course none of the men believed the young hybrid. Suddenly they charged for Shiro, seeming to have decided to beat it out of the youngling but as a short, fearful scream was heard in fear Shiro shot off in-between the large men’s legs and managed to slip through. All the large men tumbled down together into a large pile while Shiro had just barely made it out. She quickly shot off however, grabbed the last piece of food that remained and the hooded cloak she had gotten from her brother. Her brother said she wouldn’t need to hide her feline features as long as she would be around. But unfortunately Kuro was no longer there with the young hybrid. Shiro ran for days, weeks even until she had made sure there was no chance she could have been followed anymore. Though she no longer knew where she was and simply decided from then on to continue travel. In the hope of finding a new place to call home, and one day being reunited with her beloved twin brother. Who knew, even other family members might appear, or so Shiro told herself in attempt to keep her spirit up as she traveled alone. The years would slowly pass in the young hybrids live.
Progress seemed rather slow with no leads to even hint at her brother’s existence at that point. Shiro’s body seemed only rather slowly to grow, much smaller than those around his own age and clearly rather weak due to the lack of food and nutrition he was able to take hold of in her travels. As such, it seemed her breast barely, to not at all showed any development, and for such reason, it was rather easy a choice made for her to hide herself as a ‘’boy’’. Through-out the years that passed the young hybrid had traveled through every city and village she could find, crossing several countries while she did. Though still, unfortunately the young girl’s life was filled with misery once inside the villages or cities, being scared or bullied away after they caught a glimpse of her feline features. Or the simple, utter loneliness that came with the travels through the large forest, open valley’s and other such places she traveled. In her travels however Shiro occasionally found herself in the company of the large, feline kind.
The first few meetings of course seemed that the young ‘’boy’’ would become prey to the creatures, though as the animals found out about Shiro’s mixed breed they seemed to instantly become friendly, almost protective of the young hybrid. The large panthers especially seemed to love the young hybrid and her frail, gentle nature. Snuggles, tongue bathes where shared with the young girl over the soft furr and hair while finally Shiro felt loved at such times. Though the panthers never stayed around for long since also the young hybrid wanted to travel, trying to find her brother. The large felines of any species however did seem compassionate by instinct for the young hybrid, sharing their food with the small, starved little girl that managed to gain some strength through their efforts. The young creature’s journey continued however on alone, each time she did manage to meet another person, she kept his feline features out of sight, let alone speak about her gender appearance.
The youngling however seemed most happy if she managed to be around normal humans, when her hooded cloak kept the ears and tail hidden she could freely walk among them like one of their own. The years went by slowly and by the time Shiro had turned sixteen she was a mere five feet tall, just barely at that and the weight of the girl seemed rather meager. Only just barely grazing against 90 pounds the small little creature had gotten at that point. For a short time the young hybrid traveled through what almost would appear to be an overgrown forest, the tree’s seemed twice as big as any she had seen and the sudden howling of a lone wolf could be heard from not that far behind. A shiver ran down her spine at the realization and pulled down her hooded cloak a bit. When her ears where covered by the cloth and pressed against her head, as to not fall notice. It seemed her sensitive hearing decreased dramatically.
Now freed from their prison the ears moved around in fear and picked up the noise of a wolf rather quickly approaching from nearby. Her eyes shot open in fear as she looked around, trying to pinpoint where the creature could possibly be coming from and finally figured it out. At the sight of the wolf running toward her, she gave a frightened squeak and started to run for her life. Several hundred feet where run by both Shiro and the wolf, until Shiro had noticed the large pond right in front of her, at either side of it however large, rocky walls that where clearly too high for the young, frail hybrid. She had no choice but to stop right in front of the large pond that once closed up to, seemed incredibly deep. One could try and swim to the bottom, but would have long drowned before ever reaching the halfway mark. As Shiro turned around again she saw the wolf launching toward her and clamped its large maw down onto Shiro’s lower arm. An agonizing scream echoed through the forest as the fangs deeply sank into her flesh. Her little claws came out however and her free hand came up to furiously scratch at the wolf’s face. Seeming as it had some effect the wolf finally released her arm to tend to its clawed at face, and bleeding eye. Shiro gasped weakly in relief but the wolf, angry as he was for her at intruding its domain gave a sudden flick of the tail as he walked away, it caused the young Shiro however to lose her balance and fell into the water behind her.
A loud splash was heard, and once Shiro had fallen into the ice cold water she seemed, for some reason unable to move. Her eyes closed as the youngling began to sink deeper and deeper, toward the bottom. However her eyes held a golden ring in the center, surrounding her pupils and they seemed to start glowing, resonating with whatever mysterious thing that lived inside the strange waters. A golden glow came over the young hybrid, and if one where to look at the pond from outside it showed a bright, golden glow slowly resonating from deep below. The young hybrid’s body seemed to gather and absorb a strange, golden light stream in through his eyes and mouth while deep within the water. No noises could be heard from the young girl however as it happened, clearly unable to even breath underwater. As her body quickly absorbed the ancient energy, almost as if what lived within the pond was a living being itself. Suddenly Shiro felt a sharp pain in her chest and cringed a bit in the water though the glowing effects of the pound had completely vanished. It seemed that now, within her veins and blood, there had latched small, golden particles around the blood cells of Shiro.
For some reason, unlike any other before him that fell into the pond he was a perfect match to sustain the energy that now was absorbed into the body of Shiro. Inside her chest there seemed a small organ to form, growing at a high pace since the body would forever change from this point on. A small, round organ grew within the her chest, rather close to her heart and about one third the size of her heart. Within the strange, new organ however part of the energy lifeform’s essence was stored, as most of it still coursed through the veins. The organ functioning in many ways, though at first glance seemed to function like a secondary heart. Pumping the strange essence in Shiro’s veins. From that point on, She no longer would need to breath to survive, but would still need air for her voice and simply because it was a habit, unable to stop one’s self from breathing completely.
Her digestive system also transformed its function, no longer using the nutrients through absorption and digestion, but food would be broken down on a molecular level and transferred into pure energy which would be stored within the new, heart like organ. This process was much faster than the normal, biological process, storing away the food as pure energy before it had even reached Shiro’s stomach. A small, round little orb within her chest, though had taken up some of the right lung’s space, since they no longer had a primary function like before. Her body survived solely on the energy stored within the orb, healing her completely each time harm was caused and kept her body forever onto the same age, trapped in time. However its strength was also its weakness, if the energy where to completely run out it would force her body back to function on its normal way like it had before, though could no longer regenerate. Luckily it could slowly generate energy while Shiro where to sleep, though all those things would have to be found out by Shiro over time. After the pain had disappeared and Shiro was able to move again within the water, she slowly began to swim, quicker and quicker back to the surface and once up she instinctively gasped for air.
Trembling weakly and slowly crawled out of the water to lay on the ground. Luckily the wolf had disappeared by now. She looked around somewhat frightened still and had no idea in the slightest of what had just happened. As she slowly got up again and shook herself dry she suddenly noticed the large, deep and previously bleeding bite-marks had disappeared. Tilting her head a little at it and inspected her body some. She hung out her clothes to dry for some moments, and as she did she fully inspected her body. It seemed that all the little scars, bruises and cuts from previously had completely vanished from her silky skin without a trace left. She seemed amazed at the feat though grew curious. Was it that water that did it, or something else from what happened inside? Curious though in pain she used her small yet razor-sharp claws to slice through the skin on the palm of her left hand. To her own amazement however she saw the cut heal and disappear within mere seconds, only to leave behind the small amount of blood that had managed to leak from the wound. The young hybrids blood however, unlike before seemed to have a strange, golden glow over it.
The particles attached to her blood cells still active though only for some time after it left her body. Through this method, she could temporarily exchange the healing effects of the essence she had absorbed, though would cost her energy to heal none the less. The pond the youngling had fallen into was now no longer active, seeming as her body had absorbed every last bit of the energy creature that resided within. It had rumored to be the ‘’fountain of youth’’ up until now at least. On each traveler who got inside it, either on purpose or accident like Shiro, it had a different effect. Curing diseases, healing wounds or reversing age to a much younger state. Each depending on the person’s physical body. Shiro’s eyes had the golden rings around the pupils that had indicated to be a match for the living energy being. A body build almost, to be host to the creature, better than the pond it resided in until now. After a while and a few more of these ‘’tests’’. Shiro had gotten up again, dressed now her clothes had dried up and put them on once again to continue her journey. Though her life would never be the same again.
