Yeah but we were in someone's palace and they really didn't want to trade it in for a glass-lined bowl so we just shot them. A lot!

I imagine the palace probably looked like the Lobby from the first Matrix, after . . .

We exercised a little more fire discipline than that, but a few areas did need extensive stucco work afterwards. What we had to watch out for was ricochets since there was some fairly heavy stonework in the palace.

*Nods.* Well, sometimes you just have to light up the whole area, to be surwe, but I see yer point . . .

I understand your reasoning there. Not that trivial things like property rights, or the need to contact NPC 'X' within the building would have deterred the guys I gamed with back in high school from a full scale orbital bombardment. Then again, we mostly played 3rd edition D&D (not even 3.5, with the rebalancing of everything), and my wizard character(s) were often the go-to guy when you needed shatter a gateway, or get a tribe of local 3 foot tall teddy bears to beleive you are an incarnation of their gods, both of which are accomplished with a nice fireball (or if you are feeling a bit liberal with your magic that day, a meteor swarm.)
