i only watched your page a few weeks ago, and i saw your DA page hadn't been active in 2 years, so i thought maybe you'd stopped using any sites i'd be able to follow you on, so i'm really pretty stoked you popped back up =')

awesome :D yeah, i'm pretty inactive here. occasionally, i swoop in to collect porn and whatnot but i'm terrible about checking messages. i'll try to be more conscientious about that in the future. i periodically have existential crises in which i decide i don't want to have anything to do with the fandom anymore and will refuse to log in for months at a time LOL. DA doesn't allow music submissions so i don't have much of a reason to hang around there. However, I do actively post to my soundcloud (https://soundcloud.com/earthmage).

people really seem to take the whole being-a-furry deal waaaaay more seriously than i do. they make it an important aspect of their identity and I find that unsettling and, in some ways, frustrating. i don't even have a fursona; i really just don't give a shit. i'm pretty much just here for the porn, i have no problem being upfront about that. the thing that pisses me off the most is that furries' tastes in media tend to be based upon furriness more-so than quality. that lapfox/renard shit immediate comes to mind; it's decent, the dude's an alright producer but he's clearly just a preset-abuser and furries get so moist over that shit. there's so much better hardcore music out there. also, his beat-slicing is trash-tier; whatever the opposite of "funky" is, that is how i would describe it.

i see the same thing in sim gretina honestly. fandom songs are...ok i guess, but they tend to get rated on their relation to x rather than actual content, and there's not a lot of improvement because that isn't the focus. happens in art too, unfortunately.

i actually did buy shounen bass though, but mostly i used it to test out my subwoofer's bass response and annoy the people in rooms next to mine. people wanted to start a war and i finished it. :v

idk though, i found a few friends here so i can see why it's important to people. i try not to pass judgement on the people here though, because (for the most part) idk what else they're about. even if they aren't into anything else, it doesn't really bother me. i used to be interested in only a handful of things, and then i got older and started trying different things. i figure that'll happen eventually. if it doesn't *shrug*

yeah, i've definitely made some friends here. it's just hard to give a shit about this place anymore because i'm not really a furry artist and the community largely isn't interested in glitch art or jungle or whatever else i do. i used to fancy myself a decent anthro artist but i just don't care to make any visual art anymore that isn't abstract, experimental, and/or created via nonstandard means.
