My next entry in
talisment's Hypno bear week, with a cameo of his character Blake! =D
Rerim's favorite cartoon character's gear is getting sent to him, and he's very excited... though he doesn't know that the sender has some darker intentions for him.
I hope you all enjoy, all comments are appreciated! =)
Rerim ripped open his mailbox as Tiran looked over the poodle’s shoulder, as if there might be something inside. “Rerim... you alright? You’ve been obsessing over the mail these last few days...” the otter said, grabbing his own mail as Rerim pouted.
“It’s a package... I won a contest a few weeks ago, and they promised me that I would be receiving the package within a few weeks... but it’s been two months now,” the poodle said, tapping his chin as the otter nodded a few times...
The pair started back towards their apartment, and Tiran rose an eyebrow as they walked up the stairs. “What kind of package would get you so excited? You rarely enter any competition, so it must be something big...”
Scratching the back of his neck in embarrassment, Rerim blushed as he admitted it. “Well... I used to watch this cartoon when I was a kid... It had this really eccentric bear villain, you see he was called Bearstine the hypnotist, and he would make a bunch of bears do his bidding by hypnotizing them into being his hypnotized servants... The main character kept stopping him from taking over all the bears into making them into an army, but... I kinda rooted for the villain,” the poodle laughed, and Tiran laughed as well though it was in good fun.
“I think that’s awesome. So what’s the package have to do with that?” Tiran asked, his whiskers twitching slightly as he showed interest.
Pulling out his phone, the poodle pulled up a picture and showed it to Tiran. It was a picture of a bear wearing a rather ostentatious outfit, and on his hands were a pair of large toonish looking gloves. “They were offering these as a reward, and I chose this for my prize... so I’ll be getting these soon, and I can’t wait to wear them,” Rerim said, grinning as Tiran pursed his lips and looked at the picture.
“Well I think that’s awesome! I need to see this show, you know I love hypnosis just as much as you,” Tiran said, pushing his friend jokingly as Rerim beamed and nodded. “So when was this show made? I’ve never even heard of it, and that’s unforgivable,” the otter said, smiling as Rerim laughed.
“It’s back from the nineties, it’s a pretty old and cheesy show, but the hypnosis parts are really great,” Rerim said, grinning from ear to ear as they went into the apartment and pulled up the show on a computer. “The main character was actually hypnotized in the last episode, but he escaped and Bearstine got arrested. It was a bit of a sad ending for me,” Rerim laughed, and Tiran nodded as the show started up revealing that it was a world full of bear anthros. They marathoned the show late into the night, and Tiran became a huge fan of the show just as much as his poodle friend was, and he found himself growing excited to see the gloves as much as his friend...

Another week went by, and Tiran griped at the mailbox as if it were the object’s fault that the gloves weren’t in yet, and Rerim growled as he opened the box to see that his package wasn’t in. “I swear... I’m gonna go talk to the mailing officer, they better have my package or I’m gonna throw a fit...” he grunted, walking with Tiran towards the main office building.
They walked in, and Rerim stormed towards the mail desk where a dog was messing around with some boxes. Noticing the pair, she quickly smiled as she slid some envelopes to the side. “Hello, boys. How can I help you?” she asked, and Rerim had to prevent himself from slapping the desk.
“I’ve been waiting for a package for a while, and it hasn’t come in yet,” he said, and the dog perked her lips as she quickly dug around in the back for a moment, and came back with a box.
“Well I do have this box, the only reason I haven’t delivered it yet was because it wouldn’t fix in the regular package holes, I was going to be leaving a notice on your door. By any chance are you, Rerim?” she asked, and as Rerim’s face lit up she smiled. “Here you are, I’m sorry it took so long to get to you,” she said, and the poodle thanked her before running out with Tiran trying to keep up.
“R... Rerim, slow down!” the otter shouted, but Rerim was in full sprint mode and ran up the dorm stairs leaving Tiran in the dust. “Jee... jeez... I didn’t know such a big guy could run so fast...” Tiran panted, climbing up the stairs with some effort.
While his friend was catching up, Rerim stuck his tongue out as he put the box on a counter. On top it said Blake SB Industries, the name of the company who had hosted the competition. “Finally, I get my prize,” the poodle giggled, giddy with excitement he sliced open the box and pulled it open. On top of a case inside there was a piece of paper, and so the poodle read it.
“Dear Rerim, thank you dearly for entering my company’s competition. I appreciate the support you’ve put forth by drawing a picture of our dear cartoon character Bearstein, and as such I’ve included a small gift along with your gloves. Inside is a replica of the very hypno pendulum Bearstein used, we hope you enjoy. The owner and maker of Blake BP industries, Blake Bearskunk.” Rerim’s heart took off as he opened the plastic container inside to reveal two gloves, and as Blake had said there was a pendulum.
Running in, TIran panted as he saw the stuff. “Wow! T... that’s great... Rerim... that you got your stuff... I... I’m gonna go take a nap... I don’t run for a reason...” the otter panted, slinking off to his bedroom as Rerim looked the stuff over.
“This is great...” Rerim said, grinning as he slid the gloves out of a plastic sleeve. “I wonder how these would look on me...” he muttered, and sliding them on he grinned as he flexed them. They felt kind of rubbery for some reason... but the poodle didn’t really mind, he laughed as he saw how absurdly large they looked on his hands. “Bearstein in the cartoon did have a pretty big body, I can’t fill those shoes,” he chuckled, and still wearing the gloves he pulled out the pendulum.
Pulling out the pendulum, he saw the easily recognizable green and red spirals on the surface of it. “Wow... I can’t believe I can get something like this... I mean, it’s a cartoon, but still this is great!” he said, chuckling as he absentmindedly swung the pendulum back and forth, watching it, not realizing that a black outline had spread around the gloves he was wearing.
Rerim went over and sat in a chair as he continued to swing the pendulum back and forth, the spirals started to spin as he swung it, the poodle keeping his eyes on it as it pulsed in front of his face. “Wow... this is really... cool...” he mumbled, feeling a bit slow as he sank into a plush chair... the spirals were so pretty...
“Ooo... a new mind to take over...” a voice said in Rerim’s head, and the poodle felt confused, but still his eyes were glued to the spiraling pendulum, unaware of the spirals appearing in his own eyes as his pink arm started to take on a brown hue as the black outline started to spread up his arms. “That’s it... just watch the pendulum, soon enough you’re gonna be me mister poodle. You’re gonna be so happy hypnotizing friends into your slave bears,” the voice said, Rerim starting to recognize it as Bearstein’s voice.
Struggling to break his eyes away from the pendulum, Rerim tried to call for Tiran. “T... Tiran... h... help...” he mumbled, but his voice barely carried past his lips as he felt so numb...
A new coat started to appear on the poodle’s body akin to Bearstein’s own outrageous clothing as the poodle started to take on the looks of the bear. “You know you want this, Rerim... I can read your thoughts. You’ve always loved watching my show, imagining me hypnotizing you into being a nice enslaved bear, well here’s your chance. I’m gonna make you into a clone of me, with all of my powers... you’re gonna be Rerim the hypnotist bear, and you’re gonna love it,” Bearstein said, laughing as Rerim tried to shake his head, but the words wouldn’t get out of his brain...
Trying to break eyesight with the pendulum wasn’t possible for Rerim as even though he tried to force his hand to stop swinging, the hand wouldn’t respond. He did notice though that his hand had swollen up now and filled out the whole glove, and his arms were growing larger and his body too as pink gave to brown, and his dog muzzle started to grow thicker into a more grizzled bear muzzle. “Rerim, doesn’t the idea of being able to make others into your obediant slaves make you happy?” The poodle shook his head, he didn’t want to enslave others... but something was being pushed into his brain, and he was frightened to find that the idea was becoming increasingly amazing.
“There you go... just give in, Rerim. Today you’re starting your life as a toon hypnotist, making everyone you want into bears... why not that otter?” Bearstein offered, and Rerim found his face sliding into a grin as the idea of making Tiran into his dumb bear minion exciting. As the poodle’s face turned into a bear’s, and his stomach plumped out into a big bear gut he sighed as his feet turned giant as well, stretching out his toes. “There you are... look at how amazing it is to be a bear... don’t you want to let your friends be like this...”
“Yeah, being a bear is the best. Though making them my slaves is better, I’m sure Tiran will be happy licking my feet, they’re awfully stinky, and I need a personal foot cleaner,” Rerim laughed, feeling Bearstein slip away as his eyes turned back to normal now that his new personality had set in.
The toon bear easily opened Tiran’s door even though it was locked with a little slip through the keyhole with his arm and unlatching the door. The otter woke up as he heard something shuffling in his room, and he yelled at he saw a big bear in pink versions of Bearstein’s clothing. “R... Rerim... is this a joke? Where did you get that costume? It’s cool and all but... this is really weird....”
“Tiran, I’ve taken on a new form now with Bearstein’s help. I’m now Rerim the bear hypnotist, and I’m in need of my first bear servant,” Rerim said, and he started to swing his pendulum in front of Tiran’s face.
“This isn’t funny, Rerim. Get out of my room before I... I... wow... that’s... really pretty...” Tiran mumbled, quickly subdued by the spirals as his eyes filled up with swirls. “I... can’t... stop... looking...” the otter muttered, a toon outline appearing around him as his muzzle slowly expanded into a pink bear’s muzzle as he started to grow and his eyes were locked on the pendulum.
“Very good, now Tiran, from today on you’re Twinkle the bear, already?” Rerim asked, and Tiran started to say no but as his eyes spiraled a dazed smile slid across his face as he slowly nodded. “Such a good boy, Twinkles...”
Twinkles’ clothes took on the color’s of Rerim’s own clothes, and looked like something you’d see on a grunt in a cartoon show. “Th... thank you... Master...” Twinkles said, feeling proud of himself as the spirals told him how good he was to listen to master....
“Twinkles, from this day on you’re my bear slave... I need a foot licker, and I know that you just love to lick sweaty feet. I want you to do it whenever I ask for it, and you will follow me everywhere as my personal bear slave,” Rerim commanded, and as Twinkles’ body took on the porportions of a bear’s and his eyes turned into permanent spiraling circles he hopped to his feet and saluted dumbly.
“Yes Master! May I start now?” he asked, his voice slightly more dim and toon goon sounding as his hands were put into big white gloves like his master’s, and with a nod he laid on the ground as the bear sat in a chair and pressed his feet against his new slave’s face. As Twinkles licked his master’s feet, Rerim grinned and chuckled.
“Well... I do believe I can make plenty of slaves here... Plenty of bears to be had when there’s a TV screen in front of the football field,” he laughed, remembering the football game that night. “I’m sure you’ll be content looking a bunch of football players turned bear slaves’ feet, Twinkles,” he said, and Twinkles nodded in excitement as he smirked. “Perfect... Rerim the hypnotist is ready to take his place as king of the bears!”
