Thanks to him, I'm no longer invisible :) This is a rendition of a character for myself that I'd had the idea of for a while. As Acid had been posting rock-themed submissions for a while before I watched him, I leapt on the chance to get a commission from him when he opened them up - I'd originally meant to get something I could just use as an avatar here, but as you can see, he completely excelled himself!
He was very responsive to ideas, suggestions and corrections, and got the whole thing done in just under two weeks. I really did make things difficult for him with those light, very fold-prone sports trousers (I still wear chav trousers at 24), but I'm extremely happy with how he handled everything about the picture. Especially the strangely accurate rendition of my face on a rabbit, and the Scottish arms on his shirt - a detail that he came up with on his own.
Acid's slightly larger original submission of this is here - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/1585558/ . If you like it, please leave him a comment and look at his gallery, because he's pretty amazing :)
And by the way, sorry if you watched me off the back of his submission and this is the first thing you've seen me post! I will eventually release some new music, I promise.

I went on a search to find out what's unfortunately now turning into the national dress of Scotland, and found this entire starter course!

(Includes subtitles even though the narrator's speaking what to me is very normal English, which I find... mildly insulting!)

I don't have a band (it's been asked before, though!) or plans to start one for now... at the moment I'm happy enough trying to work up my skills solo (and, honestly, not having to worry about sharing creative control), but it's definitely not out of the question in the future.
And thank you! I should say again to look through Acidic's gallery for more.

A long time! We must have met in... 2003, was it? A golden year for The Sinner, at that point.
But when we met I really had no idea what form I would take, or really anything about a character for myself. It was only when Whitney (who apart from knowing about it through me doesn't have a huge interest in this whole thing) said that she thought that I would be a rabbit, with these colours/details... that I realized, somehow, how much sense that made. And in this picture, it's really strange to sort of be able to recognize that it's me!

Me too! I've let my ability at it slide, and haven't even played it in about a year now - there's a machine at the cinema down the road (though I believe it's now ITG, which I've always meant to play), and last time I tried it the six- and seven-foot songs nearly killed me. I think it was easily the only thing keeping me remotely fit in university.
really, really awesome! nice to see another rabbit, especially one with floppy ears. i love the little details like the nails; some people forget that rabbits do have them and they're rather sharp! even the blinds on the windows are rendered extremely well, and i spent a good few minutes just admiring the clothing folds.
my compliments to the artist, and my compliments to you too as the designer! now i have to hear some of your music.

Thank you, nice to meet another one, too - it's rare to get compliments on my ears :) Your icon looks great - I've always admired pixel/sprite art, even though I am awful at it.
I thought
acidic did a fantastic job with the clothing, too - I really made things difficult for him with the sports trousers, but they came out better than I'd ever expected! I hope that you find that my music is up to scratch as well ;)

I have no idea what is is with me going back and commenting on your older submissions tonight, but...
It just occurred to me that you might have dodged a bullet by selecting the guitar as your instrument of choice. You could have been a http://www.sing365.com/music/lyric......256CF10027EC13 high-speed alien drum bunny.

(I'm now typing out a heap of replies offline and then hopefully blasting them back to the Internet in a matter of minutes!) I suppose I should expect madness like this after reading [Music and lyrics by T. Sabbet], but he's the only person alive who could take a power metal title like "Save Us Now" and turn it into a warning about drumming rabbits from outer space. He is... insane.
I nearly learned the drums when I was in school - that is, I got to applying for it, but I didn't get on to the list because I was already learning the decidedly less immediately attractive violin.

The best part about that: "High-speed alien drum bunny" is the long-standing nickname for their drummer among the rest of the band. Then, one day, I guess Tobias Sammet just felt like writing a song about it.
Then again, this is the man who, on their live album, precedes Vain Glory Opera (one of their more series songs from their more Hammerfall-esque early days) with "my friends, this next one is not about an alien cockatoo invasion--its about something totally different." I've almost come to expect this sort of thing from him by now. (said the maker, and smiled at the aardvark.)

Unlikely as it is to say it, the detail that it's about their drummer sort of makes it make more sense, like Bruce Dickinson's "I'm in a Band with an Italian Drummer" or something. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I%27m_.....talian_Drummer Although if he's the same one who was in the Lavatory Love Machine video, he doesn't look to me like the kind of person who'd appreciate being called a 'bunny'...!
Well, Bruce Dickinson's Gamma Ray-styled side project, but yes, it's definitely his influence that caused them to start doing that :) I think the first of that style of song I heard from them was Sheriff of Huddersfield, where the entire band and crew got together to put an extra song on one of their singles without telling their manager, as it's about what an overweight lazy Yorkshireman he is.
I think the weirdest thing is that has a generic title like "Save Us Now", rather than "Highspeed ADB" or something - it sort of furthers the idea that he thought this was a reasonably normal thing to write a song about.
