Honestly, I'm not sure why everyone's so upset, since probably all that's going to happen is that IMVU will start datamining FA to sell your personal info to adverisers, the same as every other website on the entire Internet already does. So now advertisers will know that Yiffyfoxboi765 is a big fan of hermaphrodites, so expect to start seeing targeted ads about that. Whatever is said about th'neer, I personally can't blame him for selling the site. I mean has it ever seen black ink at the end of a year? Being allowed to keep administrating while being paid a lump sum and no longer being responsible for maintence fees would be too good to pass up.

He makes fun of everyone, including himself. I actually was first introduced to him because a religion/science blog forum I frequented pitched an absolute FIT because Agouti gently and actually almost affectionately mocked their Dear Leader.

Relative to the blog, that is the second most messed-up forum I've ever seen. It's only behind Duffel Blog, where the satire-writing soldiers and veterans are funny and normal, and all the commenters are wingnuts who are enraged that they can't get drunk because there's too much meth in their systems for them remember how to swallow anything. Hordies who are exposed to jokes from unapproved sources react a lot like those three floppy-mouthed monsters from Sesame Street who crap their handholes in horror and confusion when they see a letter of the alphabet.

Neer didn't create FA contrary to popular belief, he was just the person who obtained ownership of it and ran the site into the ground.....also it isn't "his site" anymore, it's IMVU's. Neer is just the guy who has the power to ban all of us now, while still acting pretender to the throne.

I think what agouti said is true about the data-mining and yea thats fine, and its not like theyre going to publish news articles about you individually. The only way I see this being a problem is if FA turns into an advertisement nightmare to make imvu money, or if FA becomes a pay to fap website haha
Datamining is something I accept only if it's anonymous, but even then I'm very careful about. People are REALLY sensitive to datamining, and that's something which must be respected.

About the "datamining FA to sell your personal info to adverisers"- I think we're missing the real point there. What the hell sort of products that they would try to target-advertising to the FA customer base is so freakishly out there that even Japan would have trouble getting it together to market something to the entire FA. What sort of product could you sell to Tails-yaoi, foxgirl lovers, polar bear love, and mouse vore fans? With the addition of the usual factions of boy bands, vampires and/or werewolves, lesbians, and mascot costumes. We're too weird to be datamined.
