Hello there fellow viewers,
Andrew here and welcome back to another Andrew's Thoughts. Where I give you all “my 2 cents” about things I've experienced in life or certain subjects of today. Today, I'm gonna be talking about a place that is considered to be “the happiest place on Earth”. From my experience though, I feel that slogan should be changed. That's right folks, I'm gonna be talking about Disneyland. But why am I talking about this?
It started ever since I was old enough to see Disneyland for what it is. A theme park that lacks 1 important thing to make it the “happiest place on Earth”. And that thing is... Freedom... Disneyland lacks freedom... Think I'm wrong? Every time they have a special event at their theme park, they close everything down so that you have to go to it! I haven't had a chance to ride the Alice in Wonderland ride because of this problem... Luckily, I went there a few days ago (March 29th, 2015) and went on that ride first. It wasn't a very exciting ride, but I at least had the chance to experience it.
Of course, their lack of freedom isn't the only thing that upsets me about Disneyland. And it wasn't the only thing that drew the line on making me talk about this to all of you. Who here has ever seen or known of a robot made by Honda called ASIMO? ASIMO (which is short for Advanced Step in Innovative MObility) is a robot that is designed to be a multi-functional mobile assistant. And ASIMO has a demonstration show in the Innoventions attraction of Tomorrowland, called “Say Hello to Honda's ASIMO”, where you can see ASIMO in action.
Since I always wanted to see ASIMO in person, I wanted to go to this show. According to the brochure we got from the Disneyland Hotel, ASIMO was suppose to have a show that Sunday at 5pm. We got there 30 minutes before then and when we asked an employee inside where the show was taking place, the employee told us that ASIMO's last show was last Friday and that ASIMO was sent back to Japan... Funny, that's not what the brochure said... And before anyone asks how old the brochure is, it's dated from March 27-April 2, 2015.
If ASIMO wasn't gonna be there Sunday, WHY THE F--- DID THE BROCHURE SAY ASIMO HAD A SHOW THAT SUNDAY!?!?!?! I am very upset at Disneyland for this! I have wanted to see ASIMO in person ever since I saw YouTube videos of the robot! If I would of known ASIMO wasn't gonna be there that Sunday, I would of spent that time in Mickey's Toontown! So not only did my family & I not have enough time to spend in Toontown, but Disneyland has crushed my dreams of seeing ASIMO in person!
On top of all that, and another situation that shows how much Disneyland lacks freedom, is their show, “Fantasmic!”. It's a night time show that features fireworks, live actors, water effects, pyrotechnics, music, several boats, decorated rafts, and projections onto large mist screens featuring reworked Disney animation. Anyway, we were there on March 29th of 2015 because one of my aunts on my Papa's side of the family has never been to Disneyland in her entire life! And my aunt is pretty old, old enough to make people mistake her for my grandma! We got tickets to see Fantasmic! and it started right when we got out of the Haunted Mansion.
We were going over to get in a spot, and they wouldn't let us through because we didn't get there before the show started. We asked them if they could let us through and we even informed them that this is my aunt's first time at Disneyland. But do they have the heart to let us see the show? Of course not! We would of watched it somewhere else, but the crowd control kept telling us to move it with their glow sticks. I can think of a place where those heartless b******s can shove those f---in' sticks!
The strange part about that, that didn't happen when I first saw Fantasmic!. Or should I say what I was able to see back then since I had to try to see the show through A F---IN' TREE!
So long story short, my aunt wasn't able to see Fantasmic!... And she probably never will...
They say the happiest place on earth keeps getting happier. But from my experience there, ESPECIALLY LAST SUNDAY, I feel the happiest place on earth keeps getting more miserable. I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone that begs to differ about this, but the things I've experienced last Sunday was just ridiculous! Walt Disney must be shaking in his grave right now, it's no wonder his spirit haunts the firehouse. Because the people running the place are just cashing in on his vision! They don't care about their visitors, all they care about is money!
So if anyone reading this is thinking about going to Disneyland soon, remember what I shared here. Personally, I feel Disneyland owes both my aunt & I for this bulls---. … BIG TIME! They owe my aunt an opportunity to see Fantasmic! and they owe me the opportunity to see ASIMO in person! From my experience though, I doubt they'll even care...
So that's it for today's Andrew's Thoughts. Thank you all so much for reading, be sure to comment, fave, and watch to see new stuff and be sure to look over my gallery for more work that I've done.
