The finished version (I hope) of the prize drawing for 
tanukisan getting that 10k pageview. I spent too much time of this beast.
I tried hard for hours to get my fur effects right but couldn't get it ti what I wanted. That's the best I could manage. Hopefully I'll do better next time. The grass looks ok but that hill in the background is horrible. And the text not so hot either.
Even though my fur effect failed, I do have to say that my hide did come very close. The color is almost dead on and the texture is identical to mine. The drool I did really looks great. My standard clouds is another success though I did forget to add the gradient to the sky. Other minor flaws here and there but I'm pleased with the drawing overall.

Tanukis, due to a diet high in dark chocolate and frequently marinating in not-so-fine wine, are purportedly quite delicious. And it seems that I stumbled on your page at just the wrong time. Feeding time. D:
Great work overall, and it sounds like you learned a few things. I'm really pleased with my fur, it looks nice and pettable. Don't see anything wrong with it at all. The drool is killer too.

My my, your avatar makes you look a dashing fine fellow. When you do decide to change it, you can crop and resize this drawing if you want. As you can see, I done that with mine.
