Background history: People say many things about what happened to Lance Phoenix and why they call Jo Phoenix a cowered, liar, betrayer of his family, and so on for not being the one to take hold of his father's Legacy of being a racer. But only a few truly know why he hasn't, with his father's announcement of his retirement of racing he would give his son the rights to his job and career. Jo knew that he would be that person but it until he saw his own father killed right in front of his eye's. This in turn changed him the fear of seeing his father dying in front of him was wedged in his head for many years and was the reason he never wanted to do anything of it. His mother Maria Phoenix had to take charge of that even with him in this state. it has been 5 years after his father's death and from many fear's being broken he will now face a new challenge and is not alone for the for go future he plans to take back.
