Hi Hi all
Here you can see the material that will make up the front of the cyborgs armor. Mostly a collection of bits and bobs pulled off computer cases, although there is also the base of a flight stick there. (the actual stick is going to be come the grip of my own light saber... a just for fun project). These are goign to be mounted onto a grey vest I have for the outfit. I'm also planning a back pack life saport unit but that'll have to wait .
one of the upper chest pieces has a serieas of small holes drilled out of it. this is because thats where I'm planing to place the speaker from my voice changer. the other upper chest piece has presented me with something of a problem. I have two Ideas one is simple, I was thinking of placing a LED touch light. Tap my chest and I'd have a built in search light. The other Idea was finding a halloween prop heart (prefurably a beating one) with some red LED lighting and placing it under a clear plastic covering . But waltzing around wearing my heart on my chest might be too much.
What do you folks think

The heart idea sounds sort of cool, but the prop for it would be rather bulky- like a Flux Capacitor prop bulky, about half that size. Almost would be easier to get one of those 'animated picture frames' and take several screenshots of a heart beating (No idea where you could get that, sure it's out there though!) and let it cycle. And then disguise the frame with some 'casing'- it would end up a lot flatter on the chest and make for a better costume element than the 'heart inna box'.
guma_kawausso there has a good idea of a epoxy/resin sphere for a heart too, if you don't plan on a 'moving' prop.

The only problem I'd have with that is those things get pricey unless they are realy small...
I wouldn't need it to move a moving prop would look cooler but I was thinking if I used a pair of alternatly flashing red leds I could simulate the beating.
A small picture veiwer might fit in there too, that might be usefull setting up a diagnostic cycle sort of slide show. Good Ideas
