In Japanese, Miyuki means something along the lines of deep snow or beautiful snow.
The Lynxians are my made up hybrid species mixing the ears of a lynx, the stripes of a tiger, and most importantly, the tail of a fox.
Tigerav, my first male Lynxian design, was alone up to this point.
This may be my personal best anthro art to date. (3 years ago at least.)
She was certainly harder to draw than Tigerav.
I'm thinking that most modern lynxians would only have human level abilities while primitive sword users, like Miyuki here, would have some means of taping into super human strength and speed. I also think of primitiveness as another reason why she'd be comfortable clothed in just her fur, aside from being like a Sonic character with a discrete body.
Here's a really good trade;http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16594417/

She is gorgeous! I love her colors. What is her sword made out of? It looks almost like a crystal blade. I always thought that lynx were missing something, maybe it was a big fluffy fox tail to keep warm during the winter. *swishes hers* An elegant job combining the two with this species design.
Thank you very much. I really did put thought into my personal character and species here. Though the Lynx part is mostly for the cool name and ears while the tiger stripes and fox tail were the starting points. The want for tiger stripe elements was partly inspired by Flora from TwoKinds (a furry web comic).
I've not thought of the sword material, but I'd certainly want it to be stronger than normal steel, like Ryden's sword from Metal Gear Rising, a game where your sword can literally dice giant robots.
While not depicted here, she has a sheath she carries by wrapping her tail around it. That way she wouldn't have to slng anything over her waist of chest so her fur coat is on full display. I think I drew here sheath in her tail in a snow ball fight picture.

Oh do Lynxians not wear clothing normally? Carrying with her tail? She must have a strong prehensile tail. Cats usually have more prehensile tail control than even vulpines.
It would be awesome if you did some schematic like drawings of her sword and what it is made out of. Like super hard diamond steel or something exotic.

Part of why I designed Miyuki as clothed in just fur was kind of the check off furry variants. The shark foxes like the red/pink one you liked check off the opposite furry variant as they specifically need clothes unlike the lynxians. Not wearing anything also adds to the sense of primitivness that comes with relying on a sword. Miyuki was meant to run into modern Lynxians like Tigerav the red male who wears shorts. That aspect is again also inspired by Flora from Twokinds.
Yes, the tail is disproportionately strong. It might be the tiger aspect coupled with fictional alien abilities.
If the sword construction included diamonds they'd risk breaking at their cleavage point or simply due to brittleness. A brick can literally beat a chain of dimonds. There are theories that Link's Master Sword from legend of Zelda is made partly from time stone found in mines in Skyward Sword. It'd most likely be of ficticias metal and stone like that. Obsidian blades lake the hardness of steel but can maintain there edge much longer. Those could be comparisons if I do do a diagram.

I don't know if your Lynxians are space fairing, but I was designing a station in my galaxy that orbits a neutron star and sun binary. Ocasionally the accretion disk flares and streams of energy beam from the poles of the neutron star. The stations orbit is calculated to pass over the beam at the right moment to catch a bit of the beam and heat it's fusion crucible. This is all ancient tech from a forerunner race but the neutron forge is still used to create super hard exotic alloys for armor and such. Maybe it can be used to forge those super strong robot slashing swords you mentioned?
Modern Lynxians are space faring and I was even thinking of making the red male lynxian's cyborg dragon able to fly into space.
Forging things from the heat of a star is a great science aspect of a story. In Mass effect, element Zero the plot device is created when a star goes super nova, which is also haw most other elements are theorized to form.
Miyuki's sword could also be left behind by a high tech sosiety.
