Just in time for Halloween comes another classic image from my gallery in "The Round House"...
In this gag, a raccoon was preparing to pour out an extra-large size package of candy corn into a bowl - for all the visiting 'Trick-or-Treaters' - unaware that his associate has already consumed the entire bag! It's very hard for him to deny it by putting on a straight 'poker face', when his huge, rattling belly gives him away quite easily!

That portion of the picture DID take a long time by first pencilling in each individual 'candy corn bulge' and then redoing each one with a fine-line black marker (erasing the pencil lines, after the ink dried). I'd added more bulge lines at the bottom of the raccoon's belly, giving off a shading effect that could've been easily accomplished with Paintshop Pro (or a program of its ilk). At any rate, I'd liked the outcome - turning this glutton into a living 'Beanie Baby'!
