Anyway, Karrnade was simply mistaken about Springy never being released? It being the earliest part of the pizzeria's history, I could buy it, even if he was aware of "golden" animatronics. (or at least that seems to be what is being implied in this version)

I truly feel sorry for the poor lil' girl... but... I also feel sorry for Springtrap too. I don't think he ever was evil to begin with, he was just stricken with madness and denial of what he seen.
That bastard monster Golden Freddy was TRULY responsible the whole time, and Springtrap was merely a broken, confused mess.
