::Adoptables:: Blakrye Rarity Sheet and Trait Info Page
Hi hi! I have made a few revampings/revisions to blakryes and their traits! And decided to make a proper rarity/trait chart while I'm at it! :))
Please refer to the info page/sheet for information regarding blakryes' physiology and how they interact in society.

This guide is strictly to explain the different traits and their relation to rarity.
***TRAIT INFO AND EXPLANATION***
Body and Color Type
Common - black electrical currents and hair
Tinted - black electrical currents, but colored hair; these are most commonly found in regular blakryes
Prism - (matching) colored currents and hair; most commonly found in pygmies, least commonly found in ferals
Pearl - black currents, but white hair; very rare and least found on ferals. Pearl blakryes are commonly put down at birth, but not always.
Albino - white currents and hair; exceptionally rare, most likely for pygmies (considering their frequency in larger populated and more accepting areas) and nearly unimaginable in ferals (which are more traditional in values). Albinos are typically put down at birth due to their uncontrollable and dangerous powers; seen as a defect too risky to let be.
Tinted and Prism Color Rarity
Colored hair and/or currents are uncommon to unusual, and typically mark stronger aliances to the element associated with that color (such as blue for water, red for fire, etc). Tinted and Prism blakryes can master a second element nearly as perfectly as thunder--especially if they are more magically gifted.
There is a second level of rarity for these blakrye types -- the darker the color, the more likely it is to appear; the lighter it gets, the less common it is. Pastels are the rarest colors to manifest, and are viewed a bit suspiciously by other blakryes due to their nearness to white. Prism blakryes don't necessarily have more magical strength than Common ones, though, so beyond being distasteful if pastel in color, they are accepted.
Uncommon Traits
Fluff - neck fluff, can be shaven if desired
Droop - ears and/or tails that naturally hang lower at a resting position
Mixed - Blakryes that have mixed traits, such as a regular with feral ears, or feral that's pygmy sized, etc
Extra - Extra layers of fluff/fur that grow on their ears and/or tail
Super Fluff - just a really, really fluffy 'rye
Current Mutations
No Ear Currents - This is an unusual trait in blakryes, considered a mutation. Blakryes without electrical currents coming from their ears are typically seen as 'unlucky' -- they are more likely to become sick, have bad balance, and risk a shorter life due to these problems. Blakryes without ear currents can still live long, full lives if taken well care of, they're just a bit pathetic about it.
Some Blakryes born without ear currents, will have ears that droop very low naturally. There is no significance about this trait except that it's fairly rare.
Split Tail - Fairly rare trait considered lucky. Blakryes with split tails usually have two elements besides thunder that they specialize in.
****MINI TOS ABOUT TRAIT ALTERING****
Please feel free to alter traits to LOWER rarity levels -- such as changing a feral to a regular blakrye, altering hair/lighting colors to the SAME brightness level (or darker), removing split tails, etc. Do NOT however, INCREASE rarity levels. The only exception being that it's okay to replace feral claws w/ regular hands -- I know this is difficult for some people to use/draw and I don't mind this change being made. : )
Regarding hair -- it is okay to add color to your Common blakrye, but the hair should remain at least half black, please!
If there are any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
