While my fiction NCIS is locked under a good chunk of writer's block mixed with severe depression and headaches, that doesn't mean I don't try to work on it. And among the brainstorming I can have, came the idea of adding this character, the Dark Queen Oriale, as part of this massive fan-crossover.
This section is about the NCIS version so if you wish to know more about the canon version, go check the second section below.
The mercenary known as "the Dark Queen" is a former French actress from the 2000s who was casted as the main antagonist of the series called "Argai: The Prophecy".
Following the end of the cartoon, Oriale couldn't find any other acting job due to how the "evil sorcerer" field was already crowded with big names in the industry, so she decided to use her powerful abilities in another way, becoming a highly efficient and dangerous mercenary willing to take any job as long as one can afford her rates.
Despite a reputation as a cold-blooded killer, she in fact has standards and will call off any contract that crosses the line. She is also not above betraying her employers if she feels wronged. What constitutes her standards is unknown, but it seemed enough for Commander Lizardqueen to contact her, despite having clashed against the bounty hunter during the Equestrian Crisis.
Her whereabouts are currently unknown but it is speculated she now works with the NCIS team of agents Midna and Ridley. However, it is also rumored Commander Lizardqueen has recruited her for her own agenda...
Queen Oriale, the canon one, is the main antagonist of the series Argai: The Prophecy, a French cartoon from the 2000s, featuring a mix of Blade Runner, the Fifth Element, Middle Ages adventures, etc... and time travel!
Oriale (or Orial, depending on where you look) is a evil sorceress from the 13th century who uses her powers to put young maidens into a deep sleep to steal their youth and remain immortal.
Her last prey turns out to be the fiancée of Prince Argai, who is understandably ticked off, but he can only help her by recruiting aid... in the future. And when he arrives in the 21st century, it turns out stealing young ladies' youth pays off as not only Oriale now rules over the world, but she has a gigantic spaceship, can summon the devil at will, has an army of robotic anthro-ants and is basically a female Emperor Palpatine.
And on top of that, when her minions fail at their work, she usually takes matters into her own hands and while a powerful sorceress, she can fight well on her own, even dressing as a heavy-weapon wielding black knight to fight the hero during an episode.
So, she's pretty badass and I think she's an awesome if obscure villain.
The series itself was short and never released on VHS or DVD, which is a shame since, while having a low budget, it does have interesting characters, good adventures and even a pretty twist on time travel (if one is killed in a time that isn't their own, they just come back to their own time, which also means Oriale can't just use her army and powers to kill the hero in the 21st century and she has to travel back to the 13th to hope to kill him before he managed to find her past self who is unaware of the whole plot).
While not available officially (or if they did, they sucked epically at promoting and continuing it), you can still find some episodes (probably not dubbed or subbed, though) on the Internet if you're interested in learning more about a show that deserves more love.
Also, the opening theme is pretty awesome: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vbUPw9-4-Go
