Being a villain depends on the perspective. Also taking over a princess' position to drain the love from her fiance is evil regardless. Yes she might have had good intentions, but fuck doing anything diplomatically. Seriously, Celestia has always been a kind ruler and peace was always her goal. Chrysalis easily could have talked with her. There is always a peaceful way.

A lot of people don't understand why I don't like her. Great villain which I like that part about her. But the manner in which she executed a plan doomed to fail was what made me dislike her.

We muat garee. Chry is a good spy and infiltrator, but certainly she is not PAtton.

I just thought she went about it th wrong way. I think they could harmlessly and passively absorb ponies love.

Of course if she hadn't tried to conquer Canterlot in the first place, they would not have ended up with this problem.

I agree... it's one thing to open negotiations and another to just downright try to steal a bride, false identify Canterlot royals, attack the crown, and more. Surely Celestria isn't perfect but mana that Changeling Queen did WORST.

Chrysalis is not a villain by choice, but by need. In fact, in a fanfic I plan to write, Chysalis, defeated and trialed, asks Celestia. "Tell me when was the last time you went to sleep hungry,. if you ever have been awake all night, desperate because you can't feed your people! Answer me that and then judge me"

Yeah she kinda did that to her own people. I mean when you try to take over another nation and turn its people into a food supply and they naturally fight back. Whos fault does she really think it is? Seems like chryssi is saying "If only you'd have accepted your fate as food for us!" Couldn't chrysalis have even tried to talk to the ponies as if they were equals and not just a meal. She might have did what she taught was right, but if what you think is right means enslaving and conquering another nation, chances are you didn't look hard enough for an alternative. But i am curious as to why shes hear now. She did say earlier she needs help, maybe shes finally learned to treat ponies more like equals and is requesting help. :)

I feel like Chrysalis should've slapped Cadence for her comment. It would've added more impact on how angry and hurt she feels imo.
