This is a colored 'sketch' of my hawk winged golden jackal 'sona Auric, lying on his back relaxing and looking up at the clouds. I think this is the first time that Auric's wings have been drawn with multiple 'bars' like a real buteo/hawk/buzzard rather than the slightly stylized/simplified 'bar' pattern on my refsheet. I'd been wanting to have a nice picture of him drawn with his wing pattern like this for a while and Avisk made it look good. If you happen to be an expert on birds, his wing pattern is actually from a Eurasian buteo called a long-legged buzzard but it is easier to just say "hawk" since that what buteo's are called in the USA.
