It's been more then a year since I had it done and I had mentioned it in a couple journals so I finally decide to post the before and after shots taken a year apart from each other.

Yeah.. it's not fun. I put up with it from when I first got them at 13 when they told me they would probably go away on their own. After 10 years of working out on and off, improving my diet, and slimming down everywhere but my chest. I got fed up. It took being frugal and working 50 hours a week at a crappy job but in under a year I saved up enough. It wasn't easy but it was worth it. I even lied to my surgeon. 2 days before my surgery day I came down with a nasty cold that came with a fever. It could have forced me to have to reschedule but I managed to break my fever and suppress the urge to cough then entire time I waited in the hospital. I was impatient for them to just stick me with the anesthetic and get it over with.
I wish you the best man, I know what it's like. If you don't mind my asking, have ever asked your doctor to refer you to a specialist? I don't know what it would cost in the U.S. here in Canada our health insurance sometimes covers plastic surgery things but it's more for reconstructive stuff. That's why I had to pay, it counted as being cosmetic and therefore not covered.

Yeah, it'd be counted as cosmetic here too unfortunately. It never really occurred to me that there was a surgery for it [Which, thinking back now, it really should have been obvious, there's surgeries for practically everything else] so I never brought it up, but maybe I should once I have a proper income. I'm glad that the surgery worked so well for you, and hope that it's helped your mood and self-image :)
Well, I wish you luck. I would recommend going to see someone about it just to get a quote on the overall cost. Even if the price seems a little steep it's okay, because then you have a goal in mind to work towards. And believe me, when you know you've worked hard to budget yourself, and when you finally have enough and you pay for it all on your own. That right there feels like a big boost of confidence. I was told that if you've been working out a lot prior to the surgery it helps you heal faster, which seemed to work. It definitely does help with self image, 6 months after my surgery I actually took my shirt of and walked around church street during World Pride in Toronto with thousands of people there, it was liberating :)
Sure, it's called gynecomastia when you look it up on Google there's a lot of information on it, there are varying types of it. Some with just a bit of stubborn fat that won't go away, some where it's the stubborn fat and a small amount of breast tissue under the nipples (that's what I had), and some times it just a bit of breast tissue. Guys can develop it when you're in puberty like I did, some guys get it later in life from too much exposure to estrogen in their food and stuff, soy is bad for that but also just all the plastics we eat and drink out of. And of course people who use steroids can develop it too.
