And yes you are being very rude by making a snark remark on a picture that someone commissioned of something that they like. I understand that in real life these things can be an issue. But it is a drawing. It doesn't need a comment like you've made, thus making those that like said subject feel bad for liking what they do.
Then that just makes you a complete jerk. Clearly if you have a friend that has eating problems, then you obviously care for someone. Those that go out of their way to make someone feel bad for who they are, how they look, what they are into are those that should leave their comments to themselves. But you going out of your way, not caring if you hurt someones feelings, makes you a complete asshole. If you don't like the way people talk to you and your girlfriend, then maybe you should show the same courtesy to others and keep your uncontrolled opinions to yourself.
