Are those wheels made by Western Racing? I'm just wondering cause my Charger has wheels almost exactly like those.

Yep. Those are the rare Western Wheel "Hurricanes" 15" x 8", complete with the center caps. Just the one on the right rear wheel was cracked in three places, but I'm using grey RTV to hold i together and on the rim. I started working for Tire Kingdom a few years back and they were stacked in the back with bald 245/50/15 tired from a 'vette. The boss was going to throw them out since they couldn't sell them, so he let me have them and I'm running 235/60/15 in the rear, and 215/70/15 in the front.

Nice, those are exactly like the wheels I got then, same size and all. I'm glad you saved 'em. I hate to see things like that go to waste, especially when all they need is some TLC. :D

Very. Western Wheels went out of business back in the early 80's, and I've seen the WW Cyclones (Those used on the Dukes of Hazard Dodge Charger) go for $900 and these Hurricanes are going for $400+.

Actually, the ones used on the General Lee were American Racing Vectors, but I know the ones you're talking about. I got a set of the reproduction Vectors for my Coronet a few years ago. They only set me back $1400 plus tires. XD

200cid straight six with a C4 automatic. Rare custom order with factory A/C. Got owner's manual, warranty booklet, purchase receipt, shipping receipt (Hapeville, GA to Birmingham, AL), and not 1 or 2, but three copies of the build sheet.

those inline 6's are good. And can be modded as well and the C4 transi is a good transmission too for an auto. the C6 is based on it which is one of the best transi ford ever made...to date.

About all I can do for the engine is a cam and a modified plate to replace the Carter 1BBL with a 2BBL holley, since the intake is cast as part of the head.

well if you ever wanted to play with it you could always play around with a turbo set up for a little more kick in the rear

Nah. Turbo is out of the question since I'm installing long-flow headers that came from a 66 Bronco with a 250ci. It splits three forward cylinders to one 2 1/4" collector and the rear three two another 2 1/4" collector. Sounds really sweet with a true dual Flowmasters and H-pipe setup.

Reminds me of my first car. A 1965 Falcon...think it had the same 200" cid since I'd looked at dropping a 289" in it discovered it would've taken a bit more work, and money, than I had then in college. Gave it to my dad a few years later and I believe did just that. effectively just put all 65 Mustang running gear on it since they effectively shared the same frame. Bit of sleeper when he was done with it.

Yeah. I'd like to try and put a 302 in it (68 was the first year for it) and have my first ever V-8 vehicle. I'll just set the old motor in storage in case I want to return it to original.

My dads friend had a 64 with a 6-71 blower on a 427 side oiler, I heard it fire in an alley and that memory will live with me forever!!

if ya look in the pick and pulls, ya might find a 5.0 explorer. thats the choice motor. course the 97.5 up use different plug angles and headers...

I'm trying to find one from an 89=91 Crown Vic. Those are the best for converting to carbuerated. Just need an oil pan and sump from a 71/73 Mustang to fit my car.

Just posting on an update. Never really found a 302 I like, but stumbled upon a 390 with a C6 from a 68 LTD. Conversion coming soon.

I started on a new 302 project myself... A 4x4 5 speed Jeep Comanche!! hehe just need a trans and t-case(same stuff I need on the 6cyl anyway)

are those roller motors? You may have to use an electric fuel pump, unless you use a 82 or older timing cover... I personally wouldnt have mine w/o the pump on a switch, as often as i run it empty!!

I've already designed and built a sending unit that goes in the gas tank with a fuel pump. I'll have it wired with an inertia switch from a Ford Ranger in case of an accident, and a relay under the dash tied into the ignition system.

very nice, mine already was equipped and just took control from the PCM(long gone) and hooked it to a switch. Every time I tweak my carb(typical holley) its great, I just turn the ignition on and wait a few seconds for it to fill up.

and later on when its time to use fuel injection again, V8 of course, I'm all plumbed up with a 55PSI pump.

only problem is when a friend knows and turns the switch off, being a joke or not, and it stalls 500 feet down the road...

hehe. Not yet. I put the stock steelies back on. Those Western Wheels are hard to center and will rattle you to death.

I know about those wheels. when I was a kid my dad has those on his impala and I remember a lot of shakey trips to south carolina and my dad saying that he should of bought some steel crome wheels.

They the old "unilug" things? They need special shouldered nuts with washers. Also, get the cracked one tig welded, it would likely cost under $100.

None are cracked. I have the right lugnuts for it, I just need a spacer to center the rim over the hub. Anywho, I recently scored a set of Cragar Sawblades 15x8 and they look awesome. Now, to drop that 390 in her.
