I did a bit more experimenting this time when it came to the shading and highlights. I wanted it to feel very magical, so I went all out...and honestly, I couldn't be happier! This turned out pretty much exactly the way I saw it in my head (something that feels like it almost never happens, haha..), so just... WOO! >v<b
Pretty sure I'm going to be doing more of these little diorama things in the near future. This was an absolute blast, so I really look forward to trying another one!

This is absolutely perfect. My Boyfriend showed it to me last night(I'm in Germany right now so I'm not sure what time it was in North America) and I didn't see the hedgehog at first and then I did and oh my gosh its so adorable(it was so totally unexpected, I was joking about how in the original everything was things I loved and the only thing that was missing was a hedgehog, but I didn't honestly think he'd ask and that you'd be so generous and include it, thank you ) and the lighting its so pretty! I'm a landscape architecture student so I absolutely love that it's outdoors and the book and the butterflies and oh goodness its so beautiful, I love every little part of it, its like you took a bunch of my favorite things and things which mean a lot to me and just somehow combined it into this gorgeous picture, I teared up when I saw it all finished. Thank you <3
You're most welcome, and I'm so very glad you like it! I don't even have proper words to sum up my feelings right now, haha.. It just fills me with so much joy whenever someone is so happy with art I've done for them, so thank you too! It was the most fun I've had with anything I've drawn in a while. I'm not used to working with such brightly coloured characters, but it was a fun challenge! I've also never drawn a hedgehog before, so that was new too. XD
