So since I've been throwing out idea after idea I decided to throw out another one that has a heavy inspiration from the Bioshock series and I Am Legend. Basically there's a land, air, and sea trilogy. It started with a zombie apocalypse idea(when zombies got insanely popular), but then I decided to make it post-apocalyptic with mutants instead of zombies :U
Anyways, this is Grim Grinning Ghost(yes, he's named after the song) he was named by a small girl in a Bioshock-esue underwater city. He swims close to the city and stays around the glass to always keep his eye on the girl. In the Deadworld series the stuff that mutates people is called tarnished and when one is tarnished they turn into a hideous mutant. Though they're not superpowered like the Splicers from Bioshock, but they are ugly as hell and monstrous. There are those that have been tarnished, but for one reason or another did not mutate. Those are known as Lambs. Lambs are the only ones with powers in the Deadworld universe. It revolves around telekinesis(like Professor X or Jean Grey from the X-Men) and are looked at to be these godlike figures while some see them as demonic(it depends on the society I suppose). For Deadsea the Lamb that befriends Grim Grinning Ghost is looked at as a holy figure.
Deadsky has a more thought out plot then Deadsea, but it might end up being similar. I sort of don't want it to be, but I'll think of some way to make it different.
Okay, now to finally talk about Grin Grinning Ghost. He's based off of a dunkleosteus and is a tarnished sea monster that hates everybody. Except the lamb that lives in the underwater city. For some reason he's drawn to her and if he has to smash through an entire city to make sure she's safe then dammit, he will! I haven't drawn a sea monster in a while. I think it turned out pretty cool, but if you see something wonky then feel free to give some constructive criticism. Or better yet, redline it... though it's already red lol. I'm temped to draw him on land. I wanna change the fins to make it so he'd be able to wobble on land.
So yeah, a lot of information on an idea I've had since High School. As I begin to get better at drawing the more ideas I'm gonna begin to dish out and who knows, maybe one day I can bring these ideas to comic form =w=
